I wonder how long before someone works out how to manipulate the AI and get it to say things the campaign didn't intend.

[-] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago

Hopefully not long. If you're gonna put up with an almost literal robo caller, better for it to be an insane-sounding one that brings whomever would subject people to it more trouble than the savings are worth..

"Hello... what are you wearing?" Followed by auto-tuned heavy breathing.

"What is the candidates position on abortion, and why did he have one himself when he was a young teen girl?"

[-] Cort@lemmy.world 11 points 11 months ago

Ah I see, since it's not pre-recorded it doesn't violate the robo call laws. This is going to get annoying really fucking fast

We are all dead and this is hell. No other explanation for this.

[-] Boddhisatva@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago

Sure there is. It could just be you who is dead and the rest of us are just here to torture you.

[-] Semi-Hemi-Demigod@kbin.social 5 points 11 months ago

Sure feels that way sometimes

I've said this before, but this is not the future we all expected or signed up for.

Wow, what a nightmare.

Non-compulsory voting is one of the biggest problems in the US system.

Everyone always bangs on about their rights in a democracy but what about the responsibility of deciding who runs the place?

It leads to "We have to make our base angry enough to get off their arses and vote". rather than "What policies will appeal to the most people".
