Republicans complain that government is wasteful and inept, then they get elected and prove it.
That's conservatives across the board, say things don't work and prove it by making things not work.
Over here the latest example of this is that they've been doing their best to ruin the public transport system for the past several decades, with a major push in doing so starting the sixth this month.
The new transportation plan they pushed is designed to make public transport utterly useless for anyone that actually uses it regularly.
"working" as intended.
Guess they'd be pretty happy with what they've accomplished by accomplishing nothing. An article like this is high praise in their eyes.
Absolutely. Look at how those Freedom Caucus nutters operate. If they don't get everything they want, then no one gets anything they want.
All of us who didn't storm the Capitol on Jan 6 are the real hostages here.
It's always projection
The Republican Party exists to prove governmental dysfunction, so they create it.
Course that’s their primary platform these days.
It seems we’re choosing to just lay down and rot.
Fascists are stupid(ly) aggressive and do not stop when told "no". Democrats negotiate before a bill is even ready for a vote and stop the second they are told, "no".
The problem is that Democrats are fundamentally incapable of standing up to unreasonable things. You are correct that they choose to rot. They choose to deploy surprise pikachu face in response to fascism...
Because every argument has two sides, and while you're considering both sides it's seen as nothing being done. That's encouraged and magnified by people who want it to appear as is nothing is getting done and that's a problem. While the other side is happy nothing is getting done and doesn't see it as a problem but a goal.
Regressives love to add nothing and only take everything away.
Least productive so far
Legislative Loafing is all the rage
So far.
Now I'm not American, but it would be interesting to see nunber of laws past vs pay awarded etc
