I'm just imaging Sims shoving hotdogs in a coffee maker, fish in the dishwasher, and a turkey in the microwave for 10 hours.

They could use recipes from the internet like instant potatoes made with Monster Energy drinks, hamburger smoothies, bologna sushi, and NyQuil chicken. Imagine the possibilities for new moodlets.

This whole idea could bleed over into other skills. Low mixology skills? Whiskey in a shot glass made out of spam.

So you can make fish in a dishwasher. You take like a salmon fillet and put it with oil and spices into a Ziploc bag and put it on the top rack. Then wash dishes like normal. It'll poach the fish. I've had it and it was not terrible!

It's not terribly safe, either. I think Ann Reardon did a debunking episode on YouTube about this. It's worth a watch.

Is this one of those things you try just for the novelty of it, or is there an advantage to dishwasher poached salmon? Does it work from frozen?

It was a solid 3/10 but 10/10 with rice

I saw it originally in a Tom Scott video. I just think the premise of seeing your Sim randomly doing this pretty funny

My parents used to buy these frozen breakfast sandwiches. The package instructions say to microwave for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. One morning, I suppose my mom woke up extra tired because at some point, the smoke alarms were going off and the whole house STUNK. I heard the microwave going, looked over, and there are 11 minutes left on it.

She must have accidentally hit an extra zero and set it for 23 minutes.

I did the same thing with carrots I was heating up for my dog.. the extreme heat broke the bowl in half once the water had all evaporated. It took 3 days to get the smokey-caramelized carrot odour out of the microwave with vinegar. Now I always stay in the kitchen when cooking things in the microwave 😅

Why? You don't have a hotdog jar? How else do you get hot dog water?

I was curious

It wasn't half bad tbh. Air fried hotdogs are the way to go though
