You sound fine, everyone hates their own voice on recordings.
Sounds fine to me.
It is high but not annoyingly. Don't let it bother ya
Most people I know, myself included, who have done recording work hate their voice. It doesn't sound right to our ears. You just eventually get used to hearing it.
Also, just as a fair warning: If you notice you lean on a word or phrase, or that you have a certain speech pattern you want to change, completely work on it, but don't let it consume you. When you get to that point that you're constantly looking for it, it's time to walk away, even just for a short time. I can promise you, it's nowhere near as bad as you might think. It's just easy to be overly critical of yourself, and that includes your projects.
Nope, its normal to dislike the sound of your own voice.
Your voice is fine, and I don't think it's annoying. At all.
Maybe "hate" is a strong word for it, but everyone's voice sounds different to their ears than it does in their head. It has to do with resonance chamber something something
Your voice is clearly high, but not annoyingly so. I think very few people like the sound of their own voice, because you are so used to hearing what it sounds like reverberating around the bones in your when you talk, not how others hear it.
There needs to be a rate me community for voices. lol
You're good! You sound friendly and smart to me.
Don't worry. Everyone is annoyed by the sound of their own voice, because when we hear our own voice the vibration in our jaw and other bones and muscles actually causes the voice we hear to be deeper than the voice that other people hear.
Yours doesn't sound unbearable, though it is high. However, its pitch has a lot to do with many factors, including genetics, where you were raised, your native language, whether you smoked or not, and others. Basically, the sound of your voice is uniquely yours. No need to feel self conscious or embarrassed about it.
That's a podcast voice. Nothing to worry about.
No.
It isn't annoying. On the contrary, it is generally appealing, if you ask me.
We hear our own voices differently than others do because our ears are connected to the same skull doing the speaking. It is really jarring to hear what you sound like to others. But if you're like me, you may get used to it if you edit videos of yourself enough times.
Your voice is higher than a lot of people but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. It’s certainly not annoying to me.
I think it sounds friendly and inviting. Good for a streamer.
It made me think of Atom and His Package
Once you mentioned Atom and His Package, I can't unhear it.
I am downright amazed at what I can destroy with just a hammer.
It’s fine.
You sound a bit like Ira Glass, the host of “this American life”.
It's high but not annoying. The more you hear your own voice, the more used to it you will get. Your voice wouldn't stop me from watching your streams.
I like it. Keep in mind a great personality like yours is WAY more noticeable. What's your stream info? I'd like to watch
If I heard this voice randomly somewhere it would be very unremarkable and I wouldn't note anything unusual about it. It wouldn't stand out as different to me.
Everyone perceives their voice as lower than others do because you're hearing your voice travel through your skeleton to reach your ear rather than traveling through air. You're not crazy and your voice is not annoying.
Sounds fine to me.
I also dislike listening to my own voice, so you're not alone in that :)
No, it's a little on the high range but nothing that stands out as what I would consider annoying. Just sounds like a normal higher pitched speaking voice.
I agree with most everyone else, you don't sound annoying at all.
Part of having an "annoyingly high voice" is related to more than just your voice itself, but also your demeanor and personality.
Let's compare you to the quintessential annoyingly high voice, Spongebob Squarepants.
Many of the things that make Spongebob annoying are more about who he is and how he acts than his voice specifically.
Spongebob is overly hyperactive. He has a laugh that is absurdly, purposefully annoying when repeated a lot, literally used as a joke a few times.
You on the other hand sound calm and reasoned. I didn't hear a full-on laugh, but I could hear a slight chuckle when doing your "western voice" which you described as silly. You're way, way, way more low key and chill than a character like Spongebob. I would say most people generally like people who are relaxed and chilled, so you've got that going for you.
Finally, your voice just isn't all that high, and you certainly don't immediately seem to have the kind of social issues that would make you "annoying."
Don't worry !we just hate our own voices.
Higher than normal but not even close to annoying IMO.
You sound very friendly and not annoying. I can't tell if you're a man or a women, buy since you sound like either a women with a slightly deeper voice or a man with a slightly higher voice, I guess you're a guy. I could listen to you streaming or doing videos just fine
Your recorded voice actually sounds really similar to mine and I think it sounds fine. I think the main issue is probably just that you could have a better mic setup. A good sound setup makes a world of difference over even a decent one. Like I said, your voice isn't bad at all but there's a reason pros spend all sorts of money on expensive setups.
If your voice is something you're uncomfortable with you can also train it on your own. Even people with naturally amazing voices often do vocal exercises of some sort.
Your voice is fine. And it's not annoying to listen to you. I'd listen to you narrate a youtube video or something like that.
It is fine to listen to and a lot of presenters make a voice like that work well. Don't worry about it.
If you make a career - or significant hobby - of presenting, do practice getting comfortable with your own voice as much as you can. When you can listen objectively to the sound of your voice, you can do small improvements on your natural voice to make sure you're always clear, have a good tempo, or give it a tiny bit of character with intonations etc.
Definitely not annoying at all. Certainly on the higher pitch side but it sounds good and I would listen to an audio book with this voice.
Not annoying in the slightest! Don't yah worry. Also, hating your own voice will pass eventually the more you listen to its recordings.
Not annoyingly so. It's noticeably high pitched but not in such a way that I find it unpleasant.
In fact, with a little bit of effort and a bit of training, you could probably have a pretty extensive voice range. Your tone is animated and friendly and I could see a potential for voice acting for you.
A bit high but nothing that would turn me off. I watch a lot of catalystz and Bawkbasoup. Both have relatively high voices so I might already be used to it.
Edit: As others already pointed out. Everyone is annoyed by their own voice. So don’t worry. What I’m trying to say is, even streamers with higher voices can achieve greatness.
What do you stream? Purely based on your voice, I'd be interested in popping in and watching. I think your voice is completely fine FWIW
Voices sound lower and deeper when you speak since the source is so close to the receiver.
Holy shit. You sound like me!
I'm from the UK and you sound like an average person talking on Twitch.
Seems fine to me
I feel you, my thoughts on my voice are the same. Berry White in my head, Steve Urkel in the streets. But my wife of 20s lives with it so all good!
Your voice is great
Sounds good to me! I could listen to this voice in podcast form no problem
