Had two gunship factories right next to each other and got absolutely swarmed. It's too bad you can do anything to them from a distance.

I see two gunship factories next to each other quite a lot. Shame you can't seem to get two birds stoned at once with a single hellbomb.
Sometimes you can't even get one factory with a single hellbomb!
I wish the stealth armor worked better with the gunships they always lock on to me even when I'm belly crawling in there
honestly, i really wish eagle or orbitals could hurt the damn gunships. Id totally bring an air superiority eagle strategem to high diff automaton mission. They really suck when you dont have one of the like 2 primary weapons that can hurt the bastards, and your support weapon is currently swarmed by a trio of gunships.
I read somewhere today that the major orders can have an effect on the stratagems the players are able to unlock, supposedly one of the defense campaigns we failed would have given us an anti air missile spread (no idea if that's true though, just read it in a comment here)
Me, a fighting game player:
Down, CCW half-circle from Up, CW half-circle from Up, Up.
4 motions. Easy.
Wait, you can sweep across the inputs and the game will read them just fine?
Yea, I'm playing on steamdeck and I mapped the left joystick to arrows/dpad.
Airstrike is just up, cw half, ccw quarter.
This method also works with just the regular dpad as far as I know

Macros FTW! the only ones you can't macro is the extract one and objectives.
Ahhh, half the fun is frantically trying to pull off the inputs while being chased by an army as your friends scream and foam at the mouth, a macro would feel like cheating
My old keyboard used to have macro buttons and I almost never used them. Now I'm missing them, cause that's a great idea!
Elgato Stream Deck Mini. ~$60. Can even put the icons on the button so you don't have to think that hard.
Gonna need to see a picture of someone using one of those with the strategem icons on there. That'd be sweet.

Edit: I still hold control down and then press the button on the stream deck. Others have changed the Strat button to click instead of hold so they just press the button and go.
That is blurry as hell, but still pretty damn cool!
