unlike the others... I'm glad you took the safe option and skipped the ~~fires~~ fries.

I know it would have been perfect with the fries, though. only thing that's not :)

There's a Swiss person in there?

I mean they had it coming but surprised to see it took this long. Fucking blood gold hoarders.

[-] Hugh_Jeggs@lemm.ee 9 points 5 months ago

No fuckin idea what on earth "Swiss cheese" could be.

Appenzeller?

Tête de Moine?

Emmentaler?

Raclette?

Sbrinz?

Vacherin Fribourgeois?

Gruyère?

Etivaz?

Tomme Vaudoise?

Schabziger?

Scharfe?

Tilsiter?

Berner Alpkäse?

Edelweiss?

Emmental?

Grisons?

Jarlsberg?

Belper Knolle?

Alter schweizer?

Who knows

Sploosh

Time for a cigarette...

[-] Cornelius_Wangenheim@lemmy.world 8 points 5 months ago

In the US, "Swiss cheese" means Emmentaler, or rather a low quality domestically produced version of it.

[-] MonkderDritte@feddit.de 2 points 5 months ago

Ok, Schabziger is more like fresh cheese (but old) and Sbrinz is Sprinz.

[-] MonkderDritte@feddit.de 1 points 5 months ago

Fucking blood gold hoarders.

That's unfair. 2/3 of gold trade goes through Swiss and federal council (as the only state so far) made attemts to label blood gold, but it's a fight against windmills.

I bet you wish you had fries.

[-] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 4 points 5 months ago

The grease would help counteract the alcohol.

[-] variants@possumpat.io 2 points 5 months ago

That's where an air fryer comes in, or just a toaster oven

[-] yemmly@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago

Cook over an open flame like marshmallows in my IMHO.

[-] NaibofTabr@infosec.pub 3 points 5 months ago

Like... one at a time? on a stick?

[-] yemmly@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago
[-] photonic_sorcerer@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 5 months ago

Or just bake 'em.

[-] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago

You could have just made fries in the oven. They taste the same. That's how I always do it. Honestly cannot remember the last rime I actually fried something.

[-] Got_Bent@lemmy.world 12 points 5 months ago

It's rare that I fry anything but when you get a good French fry down, the oven or air fryer just doesn't compare.

[-] BigDiction@lemmy.world 7 points 5 months ago

Yeah oven fries can be pretty good, but are definitely not the same.

Yeah I’m not a fan of fried food at all. Oven fries were my go to but we have an air fryer now, but no oil so it’s cool.

[-] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

The air fryer is your friend.

[-] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

I don't make fries pften anyway so I don't see a need to spend money on an air fryer.

[-] LOLjoeWTF@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

Hot damn! That looks amazing 🤩
