In Republican's fever dream scenario, they'd consider splitting the nation up to be marooning 200 million people at gunpoint stranded to die standing room only on a military embargoed Puerto Rico. They'd call that perfectly fair and not mass murder.

Get your logic out of here as to why that isn't possible.

I'd still go. I'd find it macabre and funny, it wouldn't make me anxious. Private plane!

Humans like to believe a lot of stupid stuff without evidence, and feel like it becomes more true the more other people believe in the same stupid stuff.

They'll need to use an electron gun to carve the face on the regular sized head if they want to make the scale accurate.

As a dad my life is forfeit if and when it can serve to protect my son.

That said it sounds like his pastor turned him in.

Liberals for the lasf 50 years: "we just need to concede to our esteemed opposition to the right HARDER. Then they'll be our friends and we can be a society!"

I'll vote blue out of harm reduction, not out of hope.

IF there's another real election, and IF the Neoliberals win, they'll do NOTHING to reign in the capitalists that fund the fascists because they're bribed to protect the "free market," just as the Fascists are.

All them winning in 2028 might do is buy a little time before the Fascists are on the march the following cycle. That's why it's ignorant when people claim the only reason we're collapsing is Trump. Reagan set the table for fascism and every president since has furthered that outcome. Whether this happened in 2020,2024, 2028, this was happening.

So vote for the Neoliberals all you want. I do it out of the starfish parable, to one delayed fascist action, it matters, but we're still in a capitalist fascist hell, and until we have something to vote or riot for that will bring the capital markets to cinder, nothing can improve. You should feel like throwing up after voting here.

So funny that Doctor Who has made mastering dimensional folding the domain of a race called "Time Lords."

I think what this alludes to is the reality that the time and resources to self-actualize are still largely the domain of the owner class.

And many to most still seem to just chase a bigger hoard rather than do that.

Republican Fascists are the Neoliberals "esteemed opposition."

The few leftists with power are spoiler candidates, because both parties only promote candidates on the basis of their ability to get bribe checks, and are the Neoliberals enemies.

If you want to see the Democrat party treat a President as a threat to the nation that must be resisted at every turn, just elect President AOC. They're in a power sharing agreement with the Republicans.

Murkowski openly admitted that she and her Republican colleagues were “all afraid” of “retaliation” from Trump, as she criticized his policies.

Ah yes the "family values" party here to yet again "save the children" from librul strangeness.

Millions of Americans across the country are on alert for a severe weather outbreak with violent, long-track tornadoes with damaging winds of up to 80 mph and large hail.

They aren't the primary villains, but they're sure as shit the bumbling secondary antagonists.

I phone banked on two Sanders campaigns. This didn't start with Trump or even in most of our lifetimes. Both parties, and yes most voters of both of them, would rather set the country on fire than have anything resembling economic equity or someone having their basic needs met without a subjective judgement of "deserving" it. We could have ended homelessness inexpensively at any time under any administration, we could have made prison rehabilitative, it would have literally saved the country money to invest in both, yet I've heard more Democrats and Republicans speak of such desperate populations as the problem instead of the society that put them there.

This collapse was a choice we made over and over again.
