I have had similar experiences on a personal basis, but my American colleagues have such an unhealthy attitude about work that working alongside them becomes very trying. No hate to them - they're trapped in an awful employment system that leaves them little choice.
I have a sneaking suspicion that if she had two vaginas she might have realised somewhere before child number 4.
I'm not sure it could survive in today's atmosphere, there was a lot more oxygen when megafauna like the T rex wer about.
Captchas aren't made to "defeat AI logic", the human detection happens in part outside the picture selection part. The picture selection is for training AI. In this case you are training an AI to distinguish the (potentially abstract) concept of warmth.
Hmmm, yes .. "Scientists are researching a device" aka "this device does not exist nor does the technology required to build it"
Palestine is recognised as a state by huge portions of the world. While, yes, it wasn't a state in the history of the region, the Palestinian people lived in the region under British and formerly Ottoman rule. Israeli settlers haven't taken land from the state of Palestine, but they have taken it from the people who have lived in Palestine since the 7th century.
I mean there's no reason that a perfectionist would be irritated by an 89 degree angle, so I suspect this meme has had its way with you just as intended
Beautiful and bleak, like brutalism come early.
Partially related, but I've noticed Google slowly adopting more and more weird little "features" that change the functionality... often for the worse. The latest is the change to the little suggested "search types" for want of a better term - e.g. when you search for a product it comes up with "shopping" to switch to shopping. These now seem to be AI generated, and much worse than before... quite often I want to do a product search but the option doesn't appear, and instead I have a bizarre selection of options most of which just repeat the search with an extra word added. Weird and annoying.
Nah it's all over the place, here in the UK it's perhaps less prevalent than the US but it's not a friendly time for trans people. I hear similar news from the rest of Europe. India, too, which given its Hindu majority has often been a bit more progressive (in some ways) on trans politics now has an anti trans leader.
I have never heard of cassette futurism before today but that's a cool af looking multitrack recorder. Zoom could learn a thing or two.
