I love horror films with terrifying vengeful spirits. I get sad when someone kills a harmless spider. I love running around the wasteland of Fallout games and blasting the baddies. I cried when a bird flew into the glass of my bedroom window and died.

We draw stock internationally via FedEx, with usually at least one shipment arriving per day.

If I have a particularly urgent order for my customer, I will of course be tracking the incoming shipment.

Every. Damn. Time. I visit their website, I get halted in my usual manic pace by their stupid, slow to load pop up. I haven't even been able to figure out how to block it, and usually don't have time when I'm working to figure these things out.

Our company gives you so much money, FedEx - why do you have to be so difficult to work with as thanks?!

That completely stopped working for me a while ago, but Samsung's Reminders app was able to do it well.

I started using it instead, and the other day, uninstalled the Google Assistant app - the only time I was opening it was by accident, when I'd drift off to sleep holding my phone, and he rudely awoken by the noise it made.

He was fantastic in Righteous Gemstones.

Winter = yay cute jackets and scarves, but oh no, I live in Australia and work from home and rarely go outside, so there are about three days where I do venture out and it's cold enough to wear my cute winter clothes.

On the coldest nights, I keep warm by thinking "at least it's not summer".

I'm absolutely horrified that tipping is still as high as 8% for those who do tip.

Get that absolute nonsense out of our country. It benefits no one and will only do great harm in the long run. Just look at the mess that is American hospitality.

Just one night of my partner disrupting my sleep with his own sleep issues, and I start to have delirious thoughts that he is a CIA torture agent.

I can't even begin to imagine what these poor Ottawans must have been going through at the time.

In Australia, or at least in the states I've lived in, Red = General waste 🫡 Green = Green waste Yellow = Recycling

We need standardisation in all (or most) things!

You can get "milk" designed for cats, I bought some in the supermarket but ours was never interested. I should have asked his foster mum which brand she got him as he liked that one, but I never paid attention to the label on the carton she gave us. Oh well, it's been years now and he's fine without.

When I was a kid, I've asked for a specific toy before. I think you can, or could, even buy them separately without purchasing a meal.

I'm having the opposite issue; my read posts have to be manually hidden, and then pop back into view when I reopen the app!

ETA: another comment in another post helped me resolve this. You need to login to the website of your instance and update your settings to uncheck "show read posts".

Connect was hiding them in-app, and I'm sure LJ will do the same soon, but for anyone looking for a fix now - that will do it!
