IMO this is the real answer. Geopolitical stability in the region, at the cost of letting Israel do whatever it wants including genociding the Palestinians. It makes me sick, but I have a sinking feeling that if we allowed the entire region become unstable, that would make me sick as well.

The difficulty is that the only way to achieve equal status is through equitable treatment. But some people don't want equitable treatment, oftentimes because they don't want equal status.

My kid and a bunch their friends deal with it, and I and many others are there to help them. And it sucks for them BIG TIME. It's hard, even with supportive family and friend groups. My kid had two classmates just this year lose their lives to suicide due to LGBTQ hate.
