What do you mean my car is now valued for so much less? Well see all the parts are all manufactured overseas, so we have to pay tariffs to acquire the parts and they cost much more. Higher repair costs, lower value. Also, your car insurance just went up.

Repairs on any products you currently own, more expensive.

Don't worry, in 10 years these prices will stabilize and we'll still have 8 dollar an hour minimum wage, but a new car only cost 80,000 starting. Well that's MSRP, Desantis banned direct sales of ICE cars without going through a dealership, so they need their cut.

We were going to subsidize vegetable based meat substitutes to drive the cost of food down, but instead we decided we should ban lab grown meats from existence, and not subsidize the vegatable based meat because if I I don't know if I'll like it, NO ONE else is allowed to try it!

Welcome to America, home of our grave

I wonder how many of those accounts saying Harris is the reason for the genocide going on will disappear now.

Or maybe they'll start saying the same thing about Trump, who has a lot more say than the VP does in foreign affairs.

There is a large portion of the population that doesn't know anything about how 401ks work. They are told their employer will take 3% or such out of their income and put it into a 401k account, and some part of that money will be matched by the employer (varying).

Those who don't know the market don't touch the money, it is invested for them. So it is very possible whoever posted this is among those people. It is not always wise on their end, but if a professional can lose money investing large amounts for companies like that, so could an inexperienced person. The annual report for 2023 for my company's investments saw loses as well. The little money I had was elsewhere so I lucked out on that part.

Scenario: you have 10 kids. Would you rather 1 kid thrive, 4 do alright, 4 struggling to find food, and one starving, or all 10 eat well?

The reason that kid is starving is directly tied to why the first one is thriving. It isn't because there wasn't enough food, it's because the one thriving was taking the food from the rest, and throwing away a lot of it along the way, not caring at all about his siblings

Okay, so if we are going to give batman flack for having super-alloys, where do we stand on Tony Stark putting a reactor in his chest with no concernable heat sink. (He wears it without the suit)

We punish people for DUI's harshly because they COULD cause harm. They get charges beyond the DUI when someone IS harmed. This is like saying a person drove a car at parade full speed but ran into a baracade. "I was just testing the baracade to make sure the people in the parade would be safe."

Lived in Panama City Beach during Hurricane Michael (2018). GOP mayor stole funds from hurricane relief, used them to hold parties on yaughts, bought a new house in Jacksonville and finally got sentenced.... To 1 month in jail.

Side note: when Trump came down to see the damage in Panama City Beach/Panama City/down to Tyndall Air Force Base, he only wanted to go with her, not the mayors of either of those 2 cities.

To be honest this Guarantees Florida goes Red this round when it was getting close to turning back to purple. Tampa and Orlando both vote Blue, and many people will get displaced. Mail will be lost, voting locations will be destroyed, and you can't just show up to any polling place to vote. "Oh you moved across the state because your house is flooded, well you can vote 350 miles from where you are now, or you can vote by mail, we sent it to your mailbox that doesn't exist anymore"

This avoids the whole premise of it though. It is supposed to be if they are a threat to not showin, but mostly a threat to the public as well, you set no bail. Non violent crimes make 0 sense to have bail on. If you don't attend there is a warrant placed for your arrest whether or not you paid bail. Also, ONLY rich people get all of their money back. The majority of the population posts bail using a bail bondsmen, so if they set your bail at $3000, you pay a bail bondman $300 to get out of jail until the court case (which will take months). You do not get that $300 dollars, the bondsmen gets it when you show up. If you do NOT show up, the bail bond company hires a bounty hunter to come after you, on top of the warrant for your arrest often times.

So you get pulled over for an accusation, are "innocent" until proven guilty, but either are forced to pay money to gain freedom, or are placed in jail until getting decided "innocent" as you already were

She was Harry's mother at school basically, and so many other kids.

Traveling in luxury around the world and being able to go into international waters where laws don't apply for everything else I suppose

It does seem more effective to place some other form of markers like metal poles down up higher with bells hanging on fishing line or some shit, if you hit the bells, you'd hit the bridge. Place them 50 yards before the bridge
