All we know for sure is that a man like Charlie is looking up at us right now, wishing it wasn't so hot

Holy shit, that's it. I felt something was not right about the photos released, but I couldn't place it. There's not damn rifle being carried

So out of $893.5 mln they only get ~30% of that... how is the tax calculated?

Trump. He's like Midas, but instead of gold he turns everything to shit

I pushed a $1 bln test trade through production instead of my test environment.... that was a sweaty 30 minutes

If Palestine Action are supposedly terrorists, can't we label him and his Russian backed party a bunch of terrorists as well

The whole of American "Christianity" goes against the basic principles of the Christian belief system

They're consistently rated as one of the most trustworthy news sources, so I trust them more than most news organisations

Oh I completely agree. Private and public funding options should be working in harmony, but private must be prevented from overreaching into the public sector

Oh I am 100% grateful for the NHS. I used to live in the Netherlands where it's much closer to the US system, and I paid 3x more for basic insurance, than I do for private insurance in UK

My wife needed her gall bladder removed. She had many gallstones that were causing her extreme pain, which needed many trips to A&E to get Morphine based pain killers to deal with. Mind you, she has a very high pain threshold. The NHS waiting time for the removal was 2-3 years.

Fortunately I have private family health insurance through work, so we went with that route. The time from referral, to having the operation was 4 weeks.

4 weeks of pain vs 2-3 years... it's easy to see why people prefer private.

Ok, but Russia currently has a "war economy" so ammunition is going to be a key production area.

By contrast Nato members are having peace time economies, where ammunition is less of a need.

I noticed my D: drive was marked as dirty and some folders were coming up as corrupted, so I recovered as much data as possible, and then scheduled a chkdsk /r /f on next restart, and I've been here since Thursday (it progressed a bit throughout Wednesday):

I now need to urgently access files on my C: drive, but don't know if I should interrupt this process with a forced power off.

Just watched it on Disney+ and everything about the movie screams Hulk, yet Captain America is the titular hero. Why?

Context: We're in a bit of a heat wave and my daughter loves to cool down by splashing in water. Today was no different.

Once she was done, I say to her "Let's get you out of that wet dress. I imagine it must be uncomfortable. I've never actually worn a wet dress before".

Before I can follow that up with "I've worn wet clothes before, and that's not the nicest", my wife jumps in and claims that me saying I've never worn a wet dress is sexist.

Is it?

I have a lot of Apps on my Android that are essential to me (authenticators, finance management apps, etc.). How can I verify if they will work on Graphene/are even able to be installed?

Is it just me or did this feel very derivative of the James Bond skit at the opening ceremony of the 2012 London games?
