Yea, I can envision public parking spots around apartments having slow chargers - 8kW something, so the cars can be charged over night for a similar price you have at home. However, that would required government motivation (wisdom) first and upgrade of electricity network which isn't able to sustain such power. Neither is happening, not even plans. Our governments suck. Funny aspect is that Slovenia is a small country (2M population) and could serve as testing ground for such experiments. I won't even mention basic income...

Meanwhile in Slovenia - here, have some subsidy for buying a new one and that's all. Figure out yourself about charging, specially if you live in an apartment.

Yes, true. Albeit they have worse energy density and some advantages as well.

Solid state batteries are supposedly much more fire resistant.

US should really rethink Israeli interference into their elections, forget Iran, N. Korea and Russia.

Travel at "high" speeds.

This should be rather fixed on OS/software level, shouldn't it? Otherwise no better resolution screen works like ever. That said, I get it, Linux is complicated, but solution to forever use low resolution screens doesn't feel right. 🤷‍♂️

On the bright side, ARM is getting there, plus there is RISC-V that is rising as well, but it still has some road ahead.

I'm considering Fiido Titan as e-bike for shopping and short distance commuting. It's hilly where I need it. Any thoughts on bike quality or anything else? From a review on YouTube it seems decent enough. TIA

It does. EVs are much heavier due to battery weight and have more power and torque. Which all results in more tire wear.

Eurosport started sending e-mails that they are discontinuing streaming (premium) service in favor of HBO MAX. Which is much, like 3x more expensive if you happen to watch only bicycling or some other sports and you don't care about other stuff. Even more odd is that they were sending e-mails like a couple of weeks ago that they were just increasing the price. So, that's it for me watching bicycling, I guess. It's been nice while it lasted, then corporate greed took over.
