Totally get it, if it's not worth it, don't buy it.

I pay right around $20/month for unlimited movies. It made it affordable and fun to be able to go see a movie whenever I like. Sometimes my wife and I see a few movies in a week, sometimes we might just see a few movies a month. The way it balances out, we still see a ton of movies super cheap. If we want a popcorn or soda, we have loyalty points built up that cover it. We might pay $1 to upgrade to the large.

I love seeing movies on the big screen. I like that it forces me to pay attention compared to distractions at home. It's immersive. I live in a small town so the theater isn't usually packed.

Love my 2nd gen Toyota. Runs well. Needs just basic maintenance. It can hold it's own in any "Made in Murica" pissing contest. And the only annoying thing is the TPMS sensor light, if you could even call that annoying. It's manual, 4wd, doesn't record me, no backtalk. As loyal as a truck can be.

Funny how folks like the person you responded to think they are the most enlightened individuals and that everyone else just doesn't get it. They act like thinking for themselves is parroting buzzwords they heard on the "news", talk radio, or some private facebook group.

They're relating what it feels like to be a college aged person during that time period. There are many parallels.

"It almost hit my son. He was two rooms over and heard it all,"

I mean, relative to coming from space I guess it almost hit his son. How does he feel about every car he drives past on a two lane road? "Oh shoot! Almost collided with that one too!"

Not at all. The money is in the work and time it takes to produce a quality wood product.

I build custom furniture and have had many people offer me a downed tree. It has cut to rough length, slabbed, prepared for drying, properly dried and stored for at least 1 year per inch of thickness before you start working with it. I can cut into a board and know when someone has rushed it, and it can be downright dangerous. Improperly dried wood has a lot of internal stress that makes it pop violently when cut. Then it curves and warps and you might not even be left with much good material at all by the time you joint and plane it to be straight and flat.

What's your understanding of "sovereign citizen"? Asking in good faith.

I mean, we have Amish in the US. That's a kind of sovereign citizen, right?

You say you're not entirely against it, can you think of a good argument FOR disenfranchising felons?

You meant to reply to the quantum physics fact, I'm sure.

The Art Of Learning - Josh Waitzkin

If you saw the movie Searching For Bobby Fischer, you might remember the main character Josh Waitzkin. Based on a true story and book written by his father, the movie tells the story of Josh who becomes a world renowned chess champion at a young age.

IRL, Josh also goes on to compete internationally and excel in Tai Chi Push Hands. In his book, he talks about how he isn't inherently talented at either of these disciplines but that he's learned how to learn and that it can be applied to any interest.

What does "truly free speech" mean to you? This doesn't seem to be about not being able to post a picture in a lawncare sub.
