Still can't bear to turn on the news.
Grain = Beer. This is my interpretation and I'm sticking with it.
It's a great step and worth celebrating. Hopefully it will encourage people to try PT and leave the car at home. Given the cost of living crisis I do hope it makes a difference.
That said, I do think charging $1 instead of 50c would be better, and put on additional routes and services. I think that is one of the main barriers to people choosing PT in Brisbane, or more accurately, Brisbane's suburbs. So I think success of this is going to be limited because some areas are just not well serviced and often take twice as long to reach their destination.
The outside?
It's mate, but if I forget their name, it's 'old mate'
One of the best parody songs ever.
Haha bikes are 'radical' now... Honestly Brisbane traffic has become a sh*tshow over the years. A quiter, safer, walkable/rideable Brisbane is the only way forward.
This one came to my mind too. What's surreal is it comes out of nowhere, and just adds a level of rawness and authenticity to the game you never thought existed. I think it's brilliant.
He has a wife you know...
It can be, and it's a valid point. But some countries do publicly fund their government broadcaster and have safeguards in place to maintain journalistic integrity. It can be done properly.
Australia is one: https://about.abc.net.au/who-we-are/the-abc-board/. The ABC regularly has fact checking articles for politicians on all sides and has exposed many a government scandal over the years.
I certainly don't want it, although I am hoping there will be significant improvements to public transport and active transport infrastructure because of it. Wishful thinking I know.
Did they ever release the final costings for the Gold Coast Comm Games? I reckon they lost money on it, and as someone involved at the time ferrying people around the GC during the Games, the place was dead. It didn't bring the tourist dollars it was supposed to.
About time. Thankfully in Australia we can still get access to the ones containing psuedoephedrine, which works amazingly well.
Can't believe it has taken this long to see the inefficacy of these.
