Hell, businesses might even keep asking you to keep changing criteria and numbers until they hear what they want to hear. I literally am dealing with this right now for a local retailer; they keep insisting that I keep changing criteria and numbers relating to how many sales they closed until they hear an answer they like. When I gave them the raw numbers, the owner and manager were straight-up in denial about it and said I was wrong and that the data is off because they felt it should have been a different number than presented.
Fucking frustrating and stupid, but that’s how upper management and corporate people can be apparently.
Let’s be real here: lobbying is, for all intents and purposes except in a legal sense for the US, a legal bribe. It’s a corporation (read: the CEO or somebody on the executive board) paying a politician to take whatever fuck position the corporate interest wants. The fact that politicians basically dress up bribes as literally anything except a bribe is disingenuous and disgusting because they can just go “oh, that wasn’t a bribe that was a uhhhh - checks notes - ‘donation to my SuperPAC’,” and somehow that is ok.
Shit like this is what happens when you let greedy rich fucks have power over legislation.
I just hate how commercialized the holidays have become.
Isn’t weird that we only have one day to celebrate Thanksgiving, but we have fucking Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday right after Thanksgiving?
Next thing you know, Elongated Muskrat will change its profile pic to wearing a fedora, trenchcoat, fingerless gloves, and a katana - everything all black, of course. Then they’ll play some shit like Bury the Light on their next Xitter post saying some real “psshh…. nuthin personnel, kidd…” kind of stuff.
Honestly I'd take the "we are alone" route, Chrysalids and Floaters from XCOM can go fuck themselves.

Even if we take away Shove, the issue is still present with Thunderclap - make a single DC save from a 1st-level spell or be pushed into an instant death chasm.
The thing is, BG3 hasn’t redefined anything. It has shown that there’s a market for games that do have extremely strong story and character writing and don’t have microtransactions and shitty mini-DLCs like skin packs and late-game equipment early on - basically, pre-Horse Armor gaming.
It’s the same as The Witcher 3 back when that released and also “redefined RPGs”.
