Luckily, a legal "official act of the president" can work on more than one person.
I'm not saying it's a great choice, but it is there.
Sometimes life gives you shitty choices.

As usual, the mere threat of potential domestic terrorism wins.
We don't negotiate with terrorists, we hand them the country. And sit quietly when they start destroying things. Like good sheep.
Life is one endless torment after another, soooooooo.......
Meds that I tried didn't help me. Fuck me I guess 🙃
To be fair I have not tried any new meds in many years, so I'm sure there's new ones I haven't tried, but I couldn't afford the appointments or medications anyway...
My sister in law had a meltdown last thanksgiving that included screaming at her husband, and storming off to her bathroom to spend the rest of the day (up until food, and then she demanded someone bring her a specific selection on a plate) in a jacuzzi tub. The whole house reverberate when it's on, it's quite annoying.
The absolutely soul-crushing, terrible, impossibly bad thing that happened?
Her husband grabbed the wrong shade of blue curtains from the closet, and she had to wait an extra 90 seconds to put them up. Legitimately don't understand how he's stayed married to her for 15 years. Apparently she's always been like this to him over the smallest bullshit.
Legit, my old job required a 90-day change, and I once logged into a system I could do monetary damage on with ease, because I took a guess at my manager's password based on how long it had been since he told it to me during an emergency.
He did what every single person I spoke to did. "password 01" changed to "password 02" and I just tried twice, and sure enough he had changed it three times since he had told me.
While I wouldn't be ruining the company as a whole, I could have easily fucked over the individual location because scheduled password changes just ensure people use predictable passwords.
Two rules:
1: two is one, one is none.
B- always have a spare.
Anything you consider absolutely essential for something, you should have 3 on hand.
You know, I've also heard people saying this. Many people are saying this.
Who specifically? Oh, I can't recall.
But lots of people are saying this.
Sure, I could take this to mean that the ship's laundry personnel mixed it up, but I like to think on big stations, it's more like a laundromat, and they're in a relationship.
"This is why we separate your clothes from mine, Terry. This is the third time this year!"
Oops, accidentally transported a bomb into every IDF facility and Israeli government building due to a communication error.
Pinky promise it probably won't happen again.
To summarize the comment you are replying to:
"astronauts dying is a price Boeing is willing to pay"
"now pay the executives their bonus because, as executives, they are better than you. They also built this country by themselves with their bare hands, without help"
It's extremely facetious, and pointing out that Boeing doesn't give a shit about safety or the people in space, they just want money.
If you're upset that lemmy isn't trying to solve this problem..... Well then I can't help you there. This isn't a place to investigate solutions to global problems or company management issues.
If you want to have one, by all means go make one yourself! unless you turn the speed dial to Plaid, it literally can't be worse than the shitty job the companies are currently doing.
You make a good point.
The sand consumes all.
