@Lv_InSaNe_vL Lewis and Clark walked all the way to the west coast. My father hiked from Corpus Christie Texas to the Canadian border through the Rocky Mountains in the mid 1970s. If you want to visit remote areas of national parks your feet and a backpack are the best options. Horses are also an option. They can be rented and buying and maintaining a horse is cheaper than buying and maintaining a car. They also do less damage to nature.

People spread over the earth and into every corner of it except Antarctica, tens of thousands of years before there were cars. Did Genghis Khan have a car? Did Hannibal have a car? Every location you say you can't get to without a car was settled by Native Americans, for thousands of years, without cars. Cable cars would probably have the lowest environmental impact to move people around a park. #MotoNormativity #CarBrain #FuckCars

Ironically, your car is destroying the nature you want to be closer to. If you really love nature and the outdoors, using a car to access it is like being a toxic ex-boyfriend who refuses to let go and calls it love.

@Droggelbecher A single 3 meter wide lane in each direction can accommodate busses, emergency vehicles, and public services. It doesn't have to be made of asphalt and it doesn't have to be wide enough for busses everywhere. Every street isn't going to be a bus route. Splitting the opposing lanes with a line of trees and greenery helps keep sunlight off of the road and reduces some effects of the overheating of the air by heat absorption and radiation in streets.

Village Buys Long Dress For Sexual Assault Victim.

I wouldn't accept a car if it were given to me for free. The car costs more money to keep on the road per month than buying a new bicycle every month does. Cars also pollute the air and crush people. Not to mention the environmental effects of roads. Asphalt is toxic waste from crude oil refineries. #VictimBlaming #FuckCars #CarCentrism

Close the asphalt streets. Rip them up and plant trees and grass. A 9 foot wide pathway for pedestrians and bicycles in the middle. Subways and streetcars to transport people from one green belt to the next one road with access for emergency vehicles, public service vehicles and deliveries circling every 9 square blocks.

My wire cutters, pipe cutters and bolt cutters are cheaper than your fence.

States that are done with President Musk can just stop paying federal taxes, stop accepting federal money, and stop federal taxes from being deducted from the wages of employees in the state. Fire their congressmen and senators. Let's do it.

@lgsp
I see now. It looks different on lemmy and feddit than it does here on mastodon.

I liked it but it would have been better to post a link directly to the video.
