Better visuals and much faster/cheaper for the developer to make.

We are still in the infancy of the technology and the vast majority of games with ray tracing doesn't fully utilise it as they must compromise to support normal raster, leading to half baked implementations on engines not designed with ray tracing in mind.

Couldn't care less

Learning the language of the country you're moving to should be the bare minimum of what's expected of you. I'd suggest taking a history lesson if your goto is comparing it to Nazism, seems rather disrespectful to actual victims of the Nazi Party.

Warcraft 3 had helicopters and tanks, so cars aren't all that crazy.

I'm looking for a 5 pin connector type that I can easily find chassis plugs for both male and female.

I've looked at DIN and mini xlr connectors, but have unsurprisingly been unable to find male chassis sockets.

The pins needs to support 12V 10A*

*realistically only expects about 6-7A flowing through 1 pin and one fourth of that through the 4 others.

LiveThreadBot is now live (programming.dev)
submitted 2 months ago* (last edited 1 month ago) by UndercoverUlrikHD@programming.dev to c/football@lemmy.world

Update: To add or remove women's game's, you now need to add -w to the command. E.g. -football -w Barcelona - Liverpool or -remove -football -w Barcelona - Liverpool This is due to edge cases where men's and women's team share name and play against the same opponent on the same day. Women's match thread will also be marked with [Women's game] in the title.

As some of you may have seen, the community now has a match thread bot to help with automating creation and updating match threads.

The bot takes a request in the format -football football@lemmy.world Barcelona - Real Madrid and will look up to 6 days ahead for an upcoming match and add it to a queue. ~15 minutes before kick off it will make a post that it will continuously update with available score, stats and commentary.

To make a request you can either tag the bot or reply to one of the bot's comments. See the comments for an interaction example.

The bot will work in any community federated with lemmy.world so if you want to create a live thread in e.g. c/gunners you could make a request like this -football gunners@lemmy.world Arsenal - Tottenham Hotspur

Do note that the bot requires approval from a mod or admin to post in a community. So unless you're a mod/admin, you'll need to ask them to approve the bot via -mod_action whitelist gunners@lemmy.world or become a trusted user that can bypass the block -mod_action trust username@instance.com gunners@lemmy.world

For a more detailed and technical overview of the bot's capabilities, please check the readme in the gitlab repo: https://gitlab.com/UlrikHD/lemmy-match-thread-bot

The only two people arguing against the change were both authors/contributors of is-number lol

This is one of the parts GOG are doing way worse than Steam. Even with a 1GB limit I still have to constantly remove save files from Pathfinder WotR to make it fit inside the cloud sync. 200MB is ridiculously small.

Assuming it's real, how could such a record be anywhere close to acceptable? I can't remember anyone injuring themselves throughout every lab project I had in high school and university.

That headline is doing him dirty. Makes it sound like he is annoyed about the opposite.

The actual tweet the article is about:

Pisses me off that people say Gears went "wOkE".

These culture wars are out of control. If Gears 3 came out today they’d say the same thing about it – the cast was diverse AF and we had strong, non-sexualized female soldiers.

From a Norwegian point of view, once someone has served their time, they've served their time and should be encouraged to get back into society. Freezing people out of society will only cause harm, and push them towards anti social behavior.

The US model of punishing criminals is clearly proving to do more harm than good, so why would you push for that model even further?

Meanwhile in Norway every citizen can look up any other person's tax returns. Income and fortune all neatly presented on a government website.

Getting the vibe that OP is being serious while using a template supposed to be ironic.

Seems odd to be angry about game graphics progressing. Imagine how it was during the 90s.

Is it really tempting for people? They've given me too many headaches when I've had to reformat or add functionality to files.

Unless it's a simple single use script that fit on the computer screen, I don't feel like global variables would ever be tempting, unless it's for constants.
