It doesn't really make sense to characterize a prime minster that is entering his (approximately) 16th year in office as being some kind of aberration. If the US elected Trump for four non-consecutive terms as president, I think would be fair to characterize the US right wing as being the norm rather than an aberration. How many times does Israel have to put a fascist in charge before they get a share of the blame for what he does in office?

It is fascinating to me that no one is asking what outcome Hamas was looking for after these attacks. Is no one concerned that Israel is doing EXACTLY what Hamas must have expected them to do? They almost certainly had a plan and doing exactly what the other side expects means your going along with that plan. Hamas had to have known this is what would happen, so this happening is giving them what they wanted: An Israel that is rapidly losing its international mandate while committing atrocities against civilians on center stage in front of the whole world.

They WOULD allow a paranoid schizophrenia to hold office if they voted correctly and hated the right people.

Most of these laws, and most of the historic gun control in the US, is really intended to be used to keep guns from the "wrong sort" of people, and that means leftists and brown people generally. Crazy white guys were never the target of any prior firearms legislation or enforcement mechanism. That's really the core of the problem here.

I'm not even sure its legal in the US. The mixed brake lights are one thing, but even in the US they cannot be the ONLY form of brake light. And the idea of a "center light" being the normal tail light turning OFF and being replaced with a smaller light doesn't seem like it would meet even the relatively lax US DOT requirements.

I know! Lets make the "brake lights" just be the normal tail lights turning off. It'll look way cooler that way!

They had the choice of not doing business in California, which is what they had threatened to do with previous right-to-repair and other consumer protection laws. In this case, they found a way to make money off it if so they are supportive of this bill now since they have successfully delayed it long enough to have an advantage over their competitors.

The "insurrection caucus" represents the majority of the GOP. This is what they are.

Well, in the case of Linux, also free. Many years ago I built an HTPC to run a media center at home and I got it all done and I realized that I didn't actually HAVE install media (or a spare license) for windows and it kinda irritated me that a legitimate license was going to cost me like $100 for a computer that wouldn't ever do anything but stream media from my own server. I had heard of linux before and I really wanted to make sure that my hardware worked without having to figure out how to actually buy windows and wound up installing ubuntu to test it out. I was surprised to discover that once installed it wasn't really all that different from Windows and decided then and there that this would be perfectly adequate for my HTPC and wound up using linux on various machines ever since. (I always have an old thinkpad running some flavor of linux for most of my general computing).

Like a lot of folks, I think the only thing I use windows for is working remotely and gaming (although, that is less and less the case since I got a steam deck and linux support for gaming has gotten SO much better over the last ten years).

Make them leave and never come back, that's what most victims want from their abusers.

Yep, the problem is that the "mainstream" GOP is so off the rails that they don't even recognize extremists for what they are and they are so deeply unpopular that they have to cheat and actually court people from every fringe to have a chance of winning.
