Where is that on my ballot?
Those 20 friends are my chosen family. We meet up every couple months for a hangout. The only time I actually socialize really. Been together for nearly 20 years. I haven seen a blood relative in maybe 7 years and that was due to my sisters funeral.
Yep, my wife, myself and a group of about 20 friends all did early mail-in ballots. Had a barbecue, played some board games, then filled out our ballots and went to the post office box to drop them off. All confirmed received in the middle of September.
Wife was hired in 2014 for a position that was designed to be remote. They changed things in 2017 and tried to make her come into an office 2.5 hours away, 5 days a week. She's legally blind and doesn't drive, a fact they were fully aware of and had no issues with when they hired her. She tried to argue multiple times, and it just ended up going in circles with several managers getting pretty insulting to her. So, she quit, and eventually decided to contact a disability lawyer to inform the ex-employer she would be suing for discrimination, and ADA violations. Because they said some pretty stupid things in emails and voicemails. They ended up offering a nice sized settlement. She found another WFH job that paid 3x what she was making at the old place, with a higher level position and more closely fits her education. She's much happier with how things turned out for her. The position has been on various job sites for over 3 years and doesn't look like it's been filled since she quit, though I can't say that for sure.
Still better than Trump
Hey, you support Elon, you get what you deserve.
Dumbasses continue to use the platform then bitch about it. Either stop using it, or shut the fuck up.
This just happened:
- Wife was promoted to a managment position in the company 1 year ago.
- Was given a list of things they wanted her to accomplish.
- She not only checked off ever item on the list, but exceeded the expectations, sometimes by 10,000% and way faster then they expected.
- Told weekly by her boss how impressed they are, and how great she is doing, and how much of an asset she is.
- A meeting with the management team was held a month ago (mid August). Wife was not invited, despite being part of that team.
- Merit raises are given out every year, between 3% and 10% depending on performance, wife finds out yesterday (9/21/23) that she is only getting the 3%.
I'm more pissed then she is, and I don't want to fight with her about it, but if it was me, I'd have quit on the spot.
Employers are less motivated to pay workers a living wage.
For my brother, it let him openly be sexist, racist, homophobic, anti-trans, and hateful. I haven't spoke to him since 2017 when we got into a big fight and he said some pretty horrid things about my wife.
Yeah, it doesn't work that way Shitbag, you fucked around, now you will find out. And I hope it burns like the heat of a mmillion suns you fuckwit.
I'm done, I don't care what happens to me now. I had little faith in people and the system, now I have zero. If I survive, cool, if not, well, it's been a good run. Good luck everyone, we are going to need it.
