Additional edit: idfk man. Scream it from the rooftops if you want to. Clearly something needs to be done about this shit, but I can tell straight off from this article that it's just a tee-up for them to go "look how dramatic the snowflakes are" or whatever bullshit they're spewing this week. Fuck these guys, and all the bullshit they want to pull, but playing into their hand like that is hard to avoid.
Catholic Church: "Um actually she's not a minor, she's a 3,000 year old diety that just looks like a-"
It's not like "oh dear God" levels of bitter but it's enough to just be like "pteh ew" and spit it out.
We can't accept that as inevitable. I don't like it either but there has to be some way that we can avoid this "there's gonna be civil war" discourse, because all it does is wind people up
Captain: "What happened? How did you die?"
Wan: shrugs
I don't care if people are have to be led there with a lollipop and a soda if it gets people voting. Civic duty is important, but people need encouragement.
I think I can speak for most Americans (and as someone who owns stocks) fuck the shareholders.
As a guy, these apps suck. I've met a few people on them, but it's very obvious that they are deliberately hiding matches and people that are your type behind a paywall. It's not in their best interest to show you people that have the same interests as you, it's better if they bundle them all up and slap a big fat price tag on the front.
People are starting to realize these apps aren't about hooking up or making connections, they're about squeezing desperate people looking for love into giving money for the promise of finding it.
That's the funny part, if I'm the owner, I can do whatever I want. "It's a must"? Too bad, it's my restaurant and I want to sit here. "You're being rude to a customer" I'm being rude to this customer, too bad.
After reading all the comments about wanting his life to be over and the counters about feeling bad for him etc. I think ive come to a conclusion on how to ethically handle him.
I'm going to laugh. I'm going to laugh at how foolish he looks having a stroke on stage. How despite all of the terrible things he has done to this country on a socio-economic level trying to line his pockets and stay in power, he is standing up there, feeble and barely coherent, looking like he simultaneously shat himself and forgot his name, I'm going to laugh.
Because if he wants any semblance of dignity, any ounce of respect, he needs to admit that he is done and bow out.
"But he is still human, have some empathy" No, why should I? This man has engineered tearing the country apart so he can put his grubby hands all over it and smear it in his own grease. And he is still trying to keep doing it!
What I see up there is an old man trying to walk across the freeway, with a dozen people telling him not to. And he is not only ignoring them but lifting his nose high and walking out into the road anyway. So when I see that mack truck hit him like it did on that stage, I laugh.
Honestly yeah. My hopes are at this point our electoral process does exactly what it just did. It's clear a lot of people went out and voted for him. Not a small group but a ton. And my resignment has just been "Okay, this is what you asked for, buckle up".
It's gonna suck ass and I really hope they don't start some bullshit that makes them squeak out of the mess they're about to step in. (They'll definitely try to) But let's give the American people exactly what they asked for and just try to stop the house from catching on fire while they realize what a bad idea it was.
