Other presidents were able to restrain Israel from trying to enact a "final solution"

I'm not posting this to make fun of Mississippi. I just think it's telling that the opposite of "Mississippi Goddam" (Nina Simone civil rights song) is "thank god for Mississippi" (ghoulish joke at the expense of Poor and Black misssissipians)
She killed her abusive parents when she was 18. I wouldn't condone that, but I also wouldn't call her a monster. People in extreme circumstances do extreme things
War bad (Unironically)
Every single aid organization calculated that this pier would be a drop in the bucket, even if it went according to plan. So blaming this on a "miscalculation" is ridiculous.
Thanks, Obama. Really glad you privatized space travel. It's going great. Our space program now consists of Guy who wants space apartheid, and company whose name is synonymous with planes that crash for no reason.
I've tried to run Ubuntu, mint, Debian, and couple other distros without the terminal to see if I can actually recommend it to non-geeks. And every time, I conclude I can't because the fucking "software center" (or whatever it's called) is always garbage, and it's easier to just use apt.
The only time I'll recommend Linux to a non-tech person is when the hardware is so old that it would just be junked without Linux.
You do realize under the Biden Administration this is the first time the US has ever even abstained from a vote on the security council against Israel?
That's because in the past, when the US finally thought Israel went too far, they would directly pressure Israel to stop. Carter did it. Regan did it. Biden could have done it, but he didn't - either deliberately or through incompetence, it doesn't matter. He continued sending arms to Israel and vetoing enforceable security council resolutions without using ANY of the enormous leverage the US gov has over Israel.
Do you not see the absurdity of rushing arms to a country committing genocide and claiming you oppose the genocide because you abstained from a resolution with no real enforcement possibility? It's a sick fucking joke
I'm no computer engineer, but this seems like a silly take. Hardware requires supply chains and some of the most closely guarded technology in the world. Software requires programmers and time.
Literally anyone can download those things and fork them. And I wouldn't be surprised if there's already chinese contributors. And if China really wanted, they could even ignore the GPL and not publish their changes to the source code 😲
Not everyone can download extreme UV lithography.
