Twitter facilitated exactly what Elon set out to do with it.

You just told me 5-10 dB isn't much - you're completely full of shit about all of this.

[-] emptiestplace@lemmy.ml 1 points 6 days ago

Why are you lying about this?

[-] emptiestplace@lemmy.ml 2 points 6 days ago

What are you talking about?

[-] emptiestplace@lemmy.ml 3 points 6 days ago

uh ... that's a lot, nobody noticed?

ehh... I think you're missing the part where Microsoft is actively exploiting its customer base throughout its entire product catalogue - the likelihood that this is an actual win is no.

I try to drive so I am as far away from other vehicles as possible. I also try to avoid ever inconveniencing other people. It doesn't matter if I'm going 140, if you come up behind me, I'm moving over to let you by - as quickly as I can while still being safe. I expect the same from others. Changing lanes isn't hard, I often move over to let someone by and then go back to continue passing.

Also, please stop passing on the right. You're just making everything worse.

6201RS

  • 6 - type code: single-row, deep groove ball bearing
  • 2 - series / robustness: (2 corresponds with 'light', which is more durable than 0, but less durable than 3 or 4)
  • 01 - size code: 12mm bore (inner diameter)
  • RS - grease seal: rubber seal one side (no seal would be '6201', both sides sealed would be '6201-2RS'. Z and ZZ are used similarly to indicate presence of steel shield(s))

The 6201 is a good fit for this application, and providing the gerbil wasn't too hard on it, should last a long time.

And then you're left searching for bullshit error messages and potentially unable to fix the problem regardless of your level of expertise.

Hello! I am looking for suggestions for Slack alternatives that meet the following (likely impossible) criteria:

  • Modern UI
  • Self-hosted FOSS
  • Actively developed, or at least stable and maintained
  • Comprehensive API for integrations
  • Non-shit strategy for determining which device to send notifications to

Regarding UI, I am hoping to find something with a more streamlined implementation of threaded conversations - this is my primary complaint with Slack.

I know there are tons of articles on Slack alternatives, but I'm hoping for a more technical perspective. Are there any Matrix-based options that are refined enough for a small team to rely on as primary method of communication?

Thank you!

Why is everyone discussing this as if humour is nonexistent?
