My favorite is TNG, and it's not even close. But that's not to say I don't also love the others, because I do. Except for Picard, which I didn't like much at all except for season 3.

I switched to searx.be a couple of days ago and so far I'm quite happy with the results.

The article mentions this is happening on the TV Youtube app. You're running Firefox on your Android TV?

You may want to educate yourself before spreading unnecessary FUD. Firefox is free and open source, and always has been. There's no danger in Firefox becoming a paid browser because even if they tried, it would just be forked and maintained by another community or group.

Mozilla does have a for-profit arm called the Mozilla Corporation, and they manage the money received from Google and others. But that doesn't mean Firefox is going to become paid even if Google gets broken up by the antitrust efforts of the US government.

Used Reddit for years. There's no way the percentage is that low.

Whatever you do, don't find massgravel's GitHub and run the PowerShell script (this is sarcasm btw)

Here's a thought: let's collectively not give either of these idiots any more attention 🙄

Because when you have shareholders, there's no such thing as "we're profitable enough". Shareholders always demand more. Ads means more profit, at least in the short term. Next quarter profits are all that matter to public companies.

It's obscene, but it's the way it is.

There is no reason why this shouldn't be on GitHub since it's likely just a bunch of ADB commands anyway. In the Reddit thread the author repeatedly refused to acknowledge or address the calls to make the tool open source. No thanks, seems too shady to me.

I absolutely didn't see the community name and ate the onion - this is totally believable
