I mean, I've been diagnosed for like 25 years now and I still have to do this.

Their entire goal is to repeat history. They want non-white people back in the fields and women back in the kitchen. They want to go back to a time where only rich white men have rights.

Lol, thinking opera composers were rich people.

This is actually really, really good advice for adhd people. Telling people your goals gives you a dopamine hit like actually completing the goal does, so it makes your brain less likely to continue since it already got it's fix.

Right? Any relationship takes work to maintain, so expecting things to just magically work without putting in any effort is a recipe for disappointment.

Also, the whole opposites attract thing is kinda bullshit when you look at 40+ year marriages.

That's the point that's being made.

Auto Shutoff Light Switch? (discuss.tchncs.de)

I have been searching on and off for years with no avail for a simple light switch that turns off after a preset amount of time to install on our closets. I just want a regular ass looking rocker switch, not one with a dozen timer buttons, not one with a motion sensor.

I know I could just use a smart switch and have HA turn it off, but I'm waiting for TP-Link to release a Matter ready firmware update before buying more.

I guess I could just use a sonoff relay, but I really don't think this particular application should require smart functionality.

Anyone know of a switch like what I'm trying to find?

If operating a microwave interferes with any of your 2.4GHz networks, you need a new microwave.

You're just trying to get the device into a known good state.

The truth is that it's rarely worth trying to find the root cause of an issue unless it's a frequent problem.

Something somewhere went wrong. We don't know if it's a hardware or software issue, so we'll try a solution that covers both.

Powering the device off stops the flow of electricity, and waiting a few seconds makes sure that any capacitors (think of very tiny, very fast batteries) bleed off the power they've stored. Then turning it back on makes it go through the full startup process which is likely to result in a working state.

It's not surprising. I mean, there's a reason jokes about hating your spouse are called boomer jokes.

Chevron paid them a lot of money.

Any company that becomes publicly traded gets turned to the dark side. That's the factor that does it because they have a legal requirement to do everything they can to maximize profits.

Trying to sustain perpetual growth will always lead to companies fucking over their customers and employees.

And like the other 10 companies that own pretty much every brand in the country.
