So what is he going to do about it?

To be honest, it's not even the "they came for you" bit, they are just coming for themselves now. I mean, if the orange idiot succeeds in dismantling NATO and imposing sanctions on US trade, China will def be the new leading superpower.

NATO is what props the dollar up. They are trying to undo the change in foreign relations the US made in WWII, and they will def get back to the pre-WWII US as a result.

Men should all be (the sole) breadwinners.

From Snopes, just thought it is relevant.

McDonald’s workers in Denmark truly make more than $20 an hour. It’s worth repeating, however, that these wages were not determined by the country’s minimum wage. In fact, Denmark does not have a nationwide minimum wage. Rather, the country has a robust union presence and issues such as wages and vacation time are often decided via collective bargaining.

Another point that is often raised when comparing McDonald's wages in Denmark vs. the United States is how much these wages impact menu prices. While we can't provide any exact figures here, we can say that the change in price isn't extreme. A review by The New York Times, for instance, found that Big Macs cost "about 27 cents more on average in Denmark than in the United States." But according to the "Big Mac Index" from the Economist, a Big Mac costs 76 cents less in "Denmark (US $4.90) than in the United States (US$5.66) at market exchange rates."

Well, the big question here is whether the captain and FO had a rough night at the same time, or if the airline is fucking with mandatory rest regulations. I know where my bet would be.

If it gets found that they didn't get the required time to sleep, it won't be them losing jobs, but one or a few levels up in corporate.

Units go for between $1.5 million and $3 million.

That's not even ultra-rich shit, it's just simple-rich. It's missing a few zeroes.

I mean it's not like putting healthcare or education or other basic social services under private ownership is a good idea either, but that's where the US seems to be headed.

Imagine in 20 years, the Hobby Lobby Carrier Battle Group will no longer sound absurd.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich angrily dismissed the decision. The announcement “reflects a lack of confidence in Israel’s security and national strength, and also a lack of confidence in the righteousness of Israel’s path against its enemies,” he said in a statement from his office.

Why would a Moody's rating take "the righteousness of Israel’s path" into account?

The European Union suffers from numerous weaknesses compared to the United States, including the lack of European tech giants

I for one do not mind that the EU legal environment does not lend itself easily to forming megacorporations. There is a lot of great innovation coming from the EU. The development of Lemmy is for example funded by the EU public sector.

On the topic of the article, I wonder how much of our economy is still restrained by still existing protectionism and division between member states. There is free trade, yes, but we still speak different languages and moving to work between countries is still not as easy as moving between US states.
