This is what my family (and a few friends) use. We have been using it for a while now because it just works. Also, the kids have never complained about using Conversations, or about using it only for us (like if you have that one family member who won't leave SMS behind - we're that guy, I guess), and we can make as many channels as we need for the house, the kids, with each kid individually, for our MTG cards, with our couple of friends that use it, etc…

I don't personally do the hosting, so I can't speak to that. That's the hubby's thing
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Is it an incoming begonia flower? Most of the plant is in rough shape, and I think it came with pests I didn't know about 😑

Hey guys, I'm starting the research phase before I have seeds, but could use some direction on where to find good advice.

I've done hydro and aeroponic vegetables, (and have had terrible luck with veggies in soil) so I thought I'd try something like a DWC with just 1 plant in a 5-gal bucket, since I have all the equipment for that.

I have seen there are plenty of different places to get info, but as a novice, I won't really recognize bad advice when I see it. 😅

Thanks in advance!

I thought it was normal to see silverfish every once in a while - but that if you see a lot of them it could be a problem.

It's pretty normal to see them in a bathroom or kitchen, as they like damp areas; I have no clue about finding them in couches, tho.

Yes, it does show ads. It does that. (The same way a lot of apps handle free-tier.)

There are other Lemmy apps out there that don't show ads, but I think Sync is the most polished of the bunch.

Your voice is fine, and I don't think it's annoying. At all.

Maybe "hate" is a strong word for it, but everyone's voice sounds different to their ears than it does in their head. It has to do with resonance chamber something something

Oh, you must have missed the whole conversation here: https://lemmy.world/post/12922184

There was a whole thing about it. This is how Lemmy itself does it, so Sync changed to match.

Edit to add:

Was that maybe for Sync for Reddit?

Created in 2016 - wow, I can't believe it's been so long!

As a person who had spent 30+ years thinking that "a warm seat = someone had been sitting long enough to make it warm" and thought it was therefore gross, now that I have a heated toilet seat/bidet combo, now I think a cold seat is worse.

I feel like I’m failing adulthood after being bested by a bedsheet.

Don't worry - most ~~older adults~~ people aren't going to quiz you by bringing a fitted sheet to watch you fold. If you want to bunch it up and shove it in a cabinet, just go ahead!

A lot of times when I wash our sheets I just put them right back on the bed. Now there's a life hack for ya!

I knit and crochet, so when I saw this amigurumi horror show on display I fell in "love" with the stitches (which are somehow both and neither knit and crochet)

(Sdxl with added details lora and maybe/probably the yarn lora, but it was generated while I was asleep, so I don't have all the details)

Used a details lora and a rainbows lora. Kinda looks like bioluminescence may have also been selected, but that's just a guess 😁

We did a series of "baby photos" (with a Lora for added details) and some turned out good enough that I thought I'd share!

Just tried again today, even though I wasn't expecting any different results from the last few Imagine my surprise! I'm pretty sure nothing happened on my end (Sync settings or instance).

Are bionic spines a thing already? Cause I'd really love it if those could be easily available for all of us with chronic back pain. Hell, even not just chronic - any bs back pain.

Edit: I see now that it has been researched, at least. Here's an article about building a bionic spine but why don't I have something like this at the pharmacy?

Edit 2: I accidentally a word

This isn't from this year - no snow yet! - but, it seemed a fitting follow-up to the first pic I posted.

I'm making a few of these for a friend. They are about 6" long and have some pipe cleaners on the inside to help them keep shape if you give them a little bend!

Bug description

Have tried changing views in my inbox, and app has crashed each time.

Scenario

  1. Go to inbox (mine defaults to All Mentions)(From FAB)
  2. Change to All Messages (Also happens when switching to Unread/All Replies)

Result(s)

App crashes, every time I switch from All Mentions

Device information

Sync version: v23.09.13-09:43
Sync flavor: googlePlay

View type: Compact

Device: bluejay
Model: Google Pixel 6a

Update 1

Seems to happen with the FAB inbox button, but not the Bottom Nav one.

Update 2

Happens from the Drawer inbox button, too.

Is this happening to anybody else?

I mean, to be fair... With the way Mt Dew eats up my stomach lining, I can sort of understand someone thinking it might get rid of DNA on the skin... Kinda..

Man. Florida. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Who knows what kind of crazy will happen next.
