Got it thanks πŸ™

I like the layout of Evolution more than Thunderbird

I'm using it for Gmail. I'm not sure why I'm getting logged out. I just get prompted to log in when I open up Evolution every morning.

I found a video on youtube where the instructions are listed but I'm a complete newb and I need commands or to follow along watching someone fix the issue.

Thanks I'm a newb have mercy.

Another good email client. Many are trying to leave Thunderbird on GNU Linux but there aren't many to choose from.

Ok thanks yeah it was a .deb package. It says it in the command where I installed the repository. I thought all packages were supposed to be either snap or flatpak but now I understand.

Ok I installed it using the commands for Ubuntu. So it was a .deb package

I didn't install a flatpak or snap from the software store.

What kind of package did I install through the command line? Thanks I'm a newb.

I never updated my email and now i always get a notification asking if my Skiff email is current but as we know, Skiff no longer does email.

I can't update it without first verifying my Skiff email.

I can't delete my LinkedIn account without first verifying my email.

I don't want to submit a photo of my ID.

Is there another way?

I've only installed browsers with commands from their official website and I've also installed flatpaks.

I'm not sure if stock Firefox on Zorin is a flatpak or snap but it has no problem rendering the CSS.

I'm on Zorin(Ubuntu) and when I open my HTML file with Firefox, everything is rendered correctly.

When I open the same HTML file with Brave or Waterfox, the CSS is not rendered.

Everything is rendered correctly for any browser if I first open the HTML file in VSCode then create a Live Server for it.

Is there a default setting in other browsers keeping the CSS in local HTML file from rendering? Thanks in advance.

I keep having to log in on Evolution. If I knew what I was doing I would stay on it but for now I'm on Betterbird.

FairEmail is a good switch for Android.

This section of their website says no telemetry reports are submitted:

https://www.betterbird.eu/legal/index.html?ref=news.itsfoss.com

It does also say that some data may be submitted to Mozilla.

I've been looking for a good alternative as a precaution. Evolution Email seems the next most popular but it keeps logging me out of my accounts every few hours. I might try Betterbird or Claws Mail.

For Android I'm using FairEmail as mozilla bought k9 Mail.

I have 2 concerns:

  1. I recently read the firefox Terms Of Use paragraph that people are posting which doesn't sound nice in terms of privacy.

  2. Back when Mozilla had their own Mastodon instance called mozilla.social, every time I signed in I would be blasted with trackers according to uBlock Origin.

I'm no expert in these things and I want to ask if anyone recommends that I switch away from Thunderbird Mail and if so, which open source email client? Thanks in advance.

Is Waterfox a good alternative?

'While Musk said he doesn’t drink and doesn’t β€œknow how to smoke pot,”...'

Every JRE podcast listener knows that isn't true.

In 2010 -2011 I never heard or saw any Mayan or Aztec person imply that their calendar indicated a doomsday. It was only Rogan and his guests.

I found that Mozilla VPN uses Mullvad servers and I thought it may be a good way to use Mullvad while supporting Mozilla. Then after further research I found that Mozilla bought an ad firm for 'privacy-centric-advertising' and that sounded sus to me. Is it reasonable to suspect that Mozilla VPN may not be as private as Mullvad VPN?

I have everything working for learning front-end web development using VSCodium.

I'm currently learning back-end stuff like nodejs, npm, and Express.

What are some challenges coming my way as far as getting things to work on Ubuntu?

I already know that it's spyware but in the case that I need to use it for work and school on my Linux laptop, do I need to worry about configuring something so that it won't have access to my whole system like it does on Windows? I'm on ZorinOS/Ubuntu. Thanks in advance

They all have iPhones and Google Android. Since all my calls and text messages are monitored on their phones, am I causing any additional harm to myself by using Google Messages on GrapheneOS? That way I could at least use RCS messaging.

Supposedly, he sells out of his phones but I haven't seen any review or unboxing videos for the Brax 3. I know that you can ask for iodeOS or Ubuntu touch.

If I created a Udemy account with my Gmail, then what's the difference between signing in with email and signing in with Google? Thanks in advance.
