With Campaign Four, we’re venturing beyond our world of Exandria to explore the uncharted lands of Aramán. So whether you’ve been here for a decade or are just discovering Critical Role for the first time, you can jump right in for an epic new story.

Hero to many. Enemy to some. When Thjazi Fang is marked for execution, various figures from across his remarkable life unite to uncover the truth behind his grim fate. In a land still suffering from the fallout of dead gods and living in the shadow of a tumultuous rebellion, these disparate people will come together across the fractured world of Aramán and connect in ways they never imagined.
As hope and victory fade, a question hangs over Aramán: without the Gods, what great deeds now fall to us? And who, or what, shall grab their crown for themselves?

New Campaign

Campaign Four will follow the tradition of our previous three campaigns – nerdy-ass voice actors playing Dungeons and Dragons.

However, this time we’ll be playing with 2024 rules! You’ll even see a few custom subclasses thanks to Jeremy Crawford and Chris Perkins – our newest members of Darrington Press. We have lots of surprises in store.

We’ll also be switching the format of Campaign Four to a West Marches style campaign! The first four episodes will serve as our Overture – we’ll set up the story and introduce the characters before breaking off into smaller groups, allowing you to explore this vast and wondrous world through the perspectives of three distinct rotating tables: the valiant Soldiers, the vigorous Seekers, and the veiled Schemers. As their fates intertwine, this allows us to delve deeper into Aramán – a world of wonder with sorcery stemming from the graveyard of the gods.

You’ll surely recognize this style of storytelling featuring multiple groups of protagonists from iconic fantasy tales like The Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones.

The Main Cast of Campaign Four

Campaign Four of Critical Role follows a stellar cast of players including Laura Bailey, Luis Carazo, Robbie Daymond, Aabria Iyengar, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Matthew Mercer, Whitney Moore, Liam O’Brien, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, Alexander Ward, and Travis Willingham, with Brennan Lee Mulligan weaving this grand tale as our Game Master.

A 12-year-old boy escaped from the car of an alleged abductor that he and a group of other children arranged to meet as part of a "catch a predator scheme" they had devised on the Snapchat app, according to Alberta RCMP, who are strongly discouraging this type of vigilante activity.

I’ve been exploring VR music-making for the last eighteen months, and I want to share what I’ve learned - this is my purely personal take. But before embarking on their journey into virtual reality, there’s something every user has to contend with. VR is one of the most cutting-edge ways to make music, but it’s a little controversial, partly because of its reliance on big corporations to provide the hardware, but mostly because of resistance to the frankly bizarre look of VR headsets: they take some getting used to. If you want to get involved, you’ll have to overcome these obstacles, but believe me, it’s worth it. It may be a little impractical, disorienting and even slightly dystopian - but making music in VR is like nothing I’ve tried before.

This week, dozens of Microsoft employees occupied the company's east campus in Redmond, Washington in protest against the use of Azure and generative AI technologies by the Israeli military, during their on-going assault on Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza.

This follows an announcement from Microsoft that they would commission another "external" inquiry into their business relationship with Israel's armed forces, after the Guardian and other papers reported on an alleged collaboration with one particular intelligence division, Unit 8200, that has seen Israel gather data from phones and store it on Microsoft servers overseas.

Amongst other things, the surveillance data is reportedly being used to target airstrikes in the course of an invasion of Gaza that has claimed the lives of tens of thousands, the majority of them civilians. Microsoft declined to comment on the recent Guardian allegations concerning Unit 8200 when approached by RPS, but have previously insisted that their own internal reporting has found "no evidence to date that Microsoft’s Azure and AI technologies have been used to target or harm people in the conflict in Gaza."

The protest at Microsoft's campus was brief. According to the Guardian, current and former staff declared one area a 'Free Zone', and occupied it with placards that read "Join The Worker Intifada - No Labor for Genocide" and "Martyred Palestinian Children's Plaza".
