Obviously I'd like the whole unredacted list to be released, but honestly, if the choice is between nothing getting released, or a list with Trump redacted from it being released, I'd take the redacted version. In fact, I don't care if only the democrat politicians are left on it, I'd still take "a few pedophiles being outed" over "no pedophiles being outed".
Not saying this would be good, but the list getting released is about more than just sticking it to Trump, and it'd be better than nothing at all.
Edit: All these downvotes and nobody actually explaining why. Is it only about sticking it to Trump for you? I assume not, so why not make your case?
I cant speak for anyone else, and I have a quite simplistic view of the world, but you know when someone has an operation to cut a cancer out, and the doctor looks fucking grim when they say they couldn't get it all?
Sure - in your example, they cut out as much of it as they could, then lamented the fact that they couldn't get it all. I think your analogy is supporting my argument that I'd rather cut out as much of it as possible rather than decline to operate at all.
I always took it as the bit they couldnt get is super bad, like they couldnt get it because its in absolutely vital body parts.
Im not a doctor or anything, just from tropes on TV. Its never "we couldnt get it all but it'll be fine, we got most of it." Its always "we couldnt get it all - how much time do i have doc?"
While I agree that, in this case, the bit we 'couldn't get' is super bad, even in your analogy they still remove everything they can. It sounds like your argument essentially boils down to, "We can't get the worst pedophiles, so we'll let the not-so-bad ones off."
Not letting them off, just as soon as some are sacrificed, whoever is left gets a free pass as the matter is officially over. You can cry about it all you want and protest and bitch that it wasn't what you wanted, but its over, and the news cycle moves on, and you missed your chance.
Sure, getting some sounds better than getting none, but when its clearly being used as a political weapon involving one of the most powerful positions on the planet, it suddenly gets a little worrying.
That's a fine argument... I guess the question is whether the news and the anger will continue to hold up for the next three and a half years until we (hopefully) have the chance to get someone in office who will actually release the files unredacted. I don't believe for a second that Trump will. If the choice was between getting some of them now or all of them later, I'd take the latter, of course, but if the choice is between getting some of them now or none of them ever, I'd prefer the former.
If the whole thing isn't released, Mossad will continue to have the USA by the nuts.

It is, but it also echoes the general view in that space. The right wing POV is that Epstein's operation was coordinated or maintained by Mossad in order to compromise politicians. It's possible, but obviously without any proof. Just saying all of this because you have to engage with people where they are if you want to make changes.

There's absolutely a potential link there between him and Mossad, but believing the Israeli intelligence wing was facilitating child rape is definitely not main stream. That view fits snugly into the usual antisemitic conspiracies of Jewish global control that are fairly popular with the alt right.
