It's a shame that Lectric only offers a 1-year warranty. These are vehicles, not toys. They should have minimum 5 years on most components, 10 to lifetime on the frame.
Brakepads and stuff like that I get, but like, batteri, motor, rust, pedaling system and all that should absolutely be able to live a minimum of 5 years.
Edit to add. It's like car manufacturers who only have the (in my country), legaly required 2 year warranty. Do you not trust that your product will survive for more than 2 years? Why in the fuck would I buy something for 40-50,000 euros if even the manufacturer thinks it's going to be fucked in 2 years?
It's because they manufacture this stuff to be disposable. If governments mandated that certain products should have a minimum life expectancy, then this shit would be rare, because manufacturers would design products to be repairable and or last quite a bit longer than they already do.
That's why you can find high-quality bike manufacturers that basically offer lifetime warranties. They know their shit is good and they know that most people will probably replace their bike out of boredom before their bike actually breaks.
