Those cats look nothing alike. Should have thrown his ass out for using a fake ID.

Man, trolling Dick's Last Resort is on a whole new level. That restaurant is like one giant troll itself.

Furries truly are just hella fun. It's deeply sad that the internet culture of my youth was so against them.

Yeah, I never got the hate. But then, I've always liked fellow outcasts and weirdos.

Yeah, never quite got how in an internet full of Nazis and psychopaths, so many people decided that who they hated most was the guy who likes to dress as a neon-green wolf sometimes.

I think part of the reason why it developed this way is because (at least historically) the group of Furries has often consisted of many outcasts / people who had few friends otherwise or have been bullied. And the assholes that originally bully people then of course take everything they like as a further occasion to bully or make fun of them.

Who wouldn't want to?

Here's why this story is fake:

They could lose their liquor license for not verifying that the person under the cat head was the person on the ID.

It appears to be a photo of a cat stuck on top of his regular license. Easy to peel off and check.

[–] SuspiciousCatThing@pawb.social 29 points 1 year ago

I actually never noticed that. Good eyes.

She could have seen his real ID before handing him the drink.

[–] Catoblepas@lemmy.blahaj.zone 68 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The post also doesn’t even say he ever got the drink.

That's what I was thinking, especially if the server never spoke to them again after that point.

I assumed she couldn't serve the table again in character and asked another server to take it over for her.

Its not, he's a Boston regular and this all lines up. His fursuit is Smudge.
