Summary

Allexis Ferrell, a U.S. citizen, was sentenced to one year in prison for animal cruelty after killing a cat in Canton, Ohio.

The incident fueled baseless online rumors that Haitian immigrants were eating pets, which were later amplified by Donald Trump and Senator JD Vance, despite denials from local police.

The rumors falsely linked Ferrell to immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, home to a large Haitian community.

Authorities and media debunked the claims, highlighting how isolated incidents were manipulated into anti-immigrant narratives for political gain.

Oh, hey, I haven't heard about immigrants since election day. We should probably have someone check on that.

"Voter Fraud" suddenly disappeared? 🤔

No. They're still bitching about 2020. They say 2024 is proof 2020 was rigged. They say the difference in dem votes was all faked.

Democrats were so overwhelmed by the guilt of it all that they didn't cheat this time.

No. They’re still bitching about 2020. They say 2024 is proof 2020 was rigged.

So they're saying when Trump was holding the office of President, the election wasn't carried out with integrity and fidelity , and when a Democrat was holding the office it was?

Oh they've been talking a lot about immigrants since election day.

But pretty much only in terms of what awful things Trump's administration is planning to do to them. We haven't heard anything about them eating pets.

NYC. Yesterday two kids got on my subway car and spent the whole ride talking about how "they're eating the dogs" is not racist because it's "only a stereotype". I hate this fucking country.

This reminds me of the guy who murdered his wife (or was that girlfriend? anyways...) and then fled to taiwan, which kickstarted the whole Hong Kong protests. Talk about butterfly effect...
