It seems like sloppy bastards are a thing that happens to most people, and yet no one talks about it. I'd like to talk about it.

Not necessarily on the first day, but period poos are the fucking worst.

For me they're always the most uncomfortable due to the...feeling of them, but they're also by far the most gratifying afterwards.

I just feel like I relieve so much pressure/bloat and my cramps are temporarily alleviated.

Omg yes. So much technicality too. Like, I just put a tampon in, these things are expensive.

The only time I have ever had a tampon come out on its own, even partially, was during a super heavy flow day as I was on the pot. That was one of the singular most unpleasant feelings I've had on a toilet.

I am past that time, but yes my experience was -

Before period, but past ovulation, the premenstrual - a little too much energy, so much sex drive, good appetite, a little constipated.

As soon as period starts, everything lets go. Horrible migraine, loose stools, no appetite. So bad for about 3 days then after that it was just blood. That drop in hormones that lets the period start can be brutal, and right at ovulation a mini version of the same drop happens, which I always found perplexing, because it tanked my sex drive. Seems like bad design.

Not specifically the first day, no. But in general during my period yes.

My wife does. It's rough in a one-toilet apartment some months.

Oh jesus, between this reason and the fact that my husband's guts are a legit mixing ground for chemical warfare, our marriage would not survive a one bathroom household.

That's how I always knew my period was about to start: diarrhea city.

OP, please re-word to be an open-ended question.

[-] Lennnny@lemmy.world 7 points 4 days ago
