Certified expert popping out of nowhere to explain technical stuff in a casual discussion.

Rage comics, narwarls bacon at midnight, poopknife, BothArmsBroken /s

Seriously though, a poemforyoursprog would be welcome addition. In the same vein shittywatercolor. Maybe even some shittymorph "In 1985 mankind....". Nah, scratch that last one.

I miss SchoodleDoodleDoo's poems.

"You said a 'jackdaw is a crow.' "

[–] kersploosh@sh.itjust.works 22 points 1 day ago

Sometimes I miss the ol' switcheroo. That was a fun way to take a random walk through a bunch of communities I would never normally visit.

I have become the GallowBoob of Lemmy comments. Look upon me and despair.

I hope at some point people will add inurl:lemmy to their G***** search to get better results.

[–] Irelephant@lemm.ee 9 points 1 day ago

Lemmy urls may not neccessarily have the word lemmy in them.

[–] PrivateNoob@sopuli.xyz 4 points 23 hours ago

I've sometimes tried that with some rare successes, but I think we should have made it a requirement for instances to include "lemmy" somewhere in the domain name.

[–] cattywampas@lemm.ee 7 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Why are you censoring "Google"?

[–] pdxfed@lemmy.world 5 points 19 hours ago (2 children)

That was his password, Lemmy automatically obscures your password when you type it.

See? I can't even see what you typed, all asterisks. The security is top notch. I'll even put my social security number *** ** **** and Lemmy automatically keeps it secure.

[–] warbond@lemmy.world 2 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago)

TIL commenting just asterisks appears to show a blank comment

And adding words turns those asterisks into a line

[–] superkret@feddit.org 1 points 22 hours ago

Ballsy, just casually dropping the G-word here!

[–] flamingo_pinyata@sopuli.xyz 13 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Intentional jokes with community names - anime_titties, trees, superbowl

[–] schnurrito@discuss.tchncs.de 17 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

!superbowl@lemmy.world is already a thing, but I've said before and am repeating here that this is a lot less funny on a platform where "superbowl" on other instances can still be communities about the Super Bowl than on reddit where there could be only one "superbowl" subreddit

[–] Twinklebreeze@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Yeah. It loses the fun on the joke when it is just ported over from a different site. It is history now, not comedy.

Already here, esteemed Internet stranger :)

[–] Catoblepas@lemmy.blahaj.zone 15 points 1 day ago (2 children)

anon6789 is a fucking champ. I don’t know how they churn out posts about owls and keep them high quality, but they do.

[–] anon6789@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

Owls are just that awesome! Makes it easy to find good stuff.

[–] partial_accumen@lemmy.world 3 points 23 hours ago

We also have equally if not even more complete content for Opossums here on Lemmy.

[–] Paid_in_cheese 4 points 1 day ago

We are all KenM on this blessed day

[–] PrivateNoob@sopuli.xyz 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Idk maybe some old school redditism, like the redditueqette and something like that, but I think we already have this mostly speaking

Nah, downvote is still used as a disagree button instead of a unconstructive button. Reddiquette was a nice idea but it has never been the norm.

[–] neidu3@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

None that I can think of, honestly.

[–] PugJesus@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Honestly can't think of any that aren't already here.
