Man, I wish my life were that simple again.
That looks so fucking relaxing, like I have nothing to do for the rest of the evening, and no pressing concerns as I sip my chocolate milk.
Only thing I would change: out that TV on a milk crate so your neck isnt strained even more than it is from sitting on the floor.
But when we were young and had set ups like this we also had invincible bodies.
Or rather, what felt at the time to be invincible bodies. Now I'm at the part of life where the bill for that comes due.
I threw my back out the other day.... By turning over in bed.
The old joke about wondering how you can "sleep wrong" and then finding out.
That was exactly my setup when I struck out on my own.
GameCube, wavebird, bongos, Twilight Princess. PS2, Guitar Hero, mod chip, case full of burned games. Single twin size mattress on the floor.
Those were the best days of my life.
I had two DVDs. Napoleon Dynamite and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
No internet, no telephone. I wanted to be creative and I didn’t want distractions. I wrote most of my songs in that little window.

Hell yeah these are great! I'm a particular fan of Stone to Throw, Untitled Noise 2, and Hallelujah Further Down. Special shout out to Flip-top PS3 that one's the panty dropper. But for real I've enjoyed myself at shows that aren't this good. I'm excited to have gotten to listen to your music

I guess I am too old, my first thought when I see this picture is "my poor back". 😂
Yeah, my response was "needs a comfy seat, something to put the TV on so it's eye level, and something to put the pizza and drink on so they're within arm's reach".
But otherwise this is peak. I had a space in my parent's basement like this with an old couch and dresser that had been headed to the dump, along with the big family CRT when they upgraded to LCD. Add some Bionicle and other Lego to fidget with and inject that nostalgia into my veins.

My bro got out of army and moved 6000km to a new job in a new city in a new country. His setup was:
- clothes
- couch for sleeping
- monitor on cardboard box
- keyboard on smaller box
- back to the wall
He worked like that until the Stuff arrived.
People mocking other peoples happiness & low environmental footprint is weak af.

Isn’t that like the black sheep of Pokémon games? And one of my favorites: I’m feeling majorly nostalgic RN.
Another +1 for a wireless GC controller. This is a man of sophistication and culture.
Colosseum was great. Maybe it was a different version but I remember you could import your pokemon from the gameboy games so it was just gym battles with much better graphics. Also yeah. The (wavebird?) controller was the shit back then. Your friend having one meant they had rich parents.

This is what happiness looks like.
I ended up renting a room as an adult, not because i'm bad at adulting but because the value of my wage has been destroyed and i basically learned that if i have a desk + chair for my pc and a bed/sofa mix...i am golden.
I just need a computer and no one bothering me (which was an issue at the time as 2 others were quite a burden. One was addicted to hard drugs and the other was a petty criminal who was always in trouble with the police to the point they came looking for him on a daily basis.) Other than the constant noise and not being able to sleep...yeah i'd settle for a minimal life with maximum peace and quiet.
I really do not care for society, i never asked to be put on this planet.
There is remote controls for game cube?
Yeah, I loved my wavebird back in the day.
