90's Trek is my go too comfort food. Especially TNG and Voyager. Less so Enterprise. And I never got into DS9 at all (fight me). When I'm looking for a random episode to watch in the background, it's usually one of those.
-
Comedy-wise, Community, Night Court (the original), The IT Crowd, The Office, Futurama, all fill the same role as Star Trek above.
-
Less often, but still on a pretty regular rotation, 80's shows like Quantum Leap, Simon & Simon, MacGuyver, Knight Rider. Just dumb shows where they have a one hour adventure and then have a new one the next week; where you don't have to stress about watching every damn episode because the entire season is one big plotline.
NCIS, Bones, Castle
It's always sunny in Philadelphia, Seinfeld, Community, How I met your mother, Psych, Classic Trek (TNG,DS9,VOY,ENT), Firefly, Bones.
Mostly just as background noise when doing stuff. Doesn't absorb me like a podcast or audio book might since it's old information and doesn't amp me up like music does.
Clone High
People say all if the bullshit in the world started with Harambe
I say it's because we never got a Clone High season 2
Xavier: Renegade Angel
The dialog moves so fast that it always feels fresh and enjoyable.
What…doth… life?
Wow haven’t thought about that show in a decade, time for a rewatch!
Trailer Park Boys. I can never get enough of the chaos
The Andy Griffith Show. Wholesome, and ALWAYS funny, at least until Don Knotts left the cast. I just watched an Earnest T Bass episode and an Otis the Drunk episode over the weekend.
Green Wing
Blackadder
That Mitchell and Webb Look
If you like Green Wing do you like Black Books and IT Crowd?
Yes, and yes.
First two series of both are very good, I just rewatch them less frequently.
I watch Friends when I just want to laugh. When I want more serious stuff I watch HIMYM. God I love those shows.
Futurama and avatar are endlessly rewatchable imo

Bob's Burgers gets rewatched a lot. We also do a full rewatch of Taskmaster before each new series begins (UK and NZ versions) though that tradition may have to end now that the UK version is nearing 20 series.
There are also a number of UK panel shows that we keep looping through as background noise. Hypothetical, QI, WILTY, selected Buzzcocks episodes, Guessable, Alan Davies: Untitled, Big Fat Quiz, Outsiders.
Adventure time, courage the cowardly dog
