The doctor said Trump had a minor problem.

Which is exactly what the Epstein list said, too.

He’s maxed out on the blood thinners. I think that accounts for both described symptoms. I am not a doctor, but I did watch all of House, twice.

Tbh it sounds like hes having a heart failure (finally), I just cannot believe ol Mac didnt hit him sooner

[–] Lucky_777@lemmy.world 62 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Don't do that to me. Don't give me hope.

[–] Bbbbbbbbbbb@lemmy.world 19 points 1 month ago (4 children)

Im only speculating, based on what i remember from EMT and MA training. Tell tale signs though, and unfortunately is somewhat fixable. I doubt surgery will kill him but bad diet afterwards might. But its a president so .......

[–] halcyoncmdr@lemmy.world 36 points 1 month ago (1 children)

There is no way he adjusts his diet at all. He believes the body has a battery with a finite amount of energy and exercise is bad because it depletes that battery faster. There's no way he has the mental capacity to understand he needs to change his eating habits when the doctors advise it.

At his age with his potential comorbidities? Surgery of any kind is absolutely a possible killer.

Yeah, edema (fluid gathering, causing swelling) is a classic sign of diastolic heart failure. It’s caused by the muscle fibers of the heart stiffening, which reduces the heart’s ability to expand and draw fresh blood in between beats. Usually caused by a lack of exercise. The heart can’t draw blood back up from the legs, which increases blood pressure in the legs as blood gets pumped down but not back up. This extra pressure in the legs forces fluid out of the veins and into the surrounding tissues, causing swelling.

If he's admitting to having something minor, then he must be at death's door....

Wouldn't it be ironic if Biden outlives him?

My neighbor said this about Biden about a year ago. Our kids are friends, and they are very nice people. It's the only time something remotely political has come up between us. Ever since then, I have made extra sure to not broach politics around her, because I'm pretty sure her views are extraordinarily stupid and if I hear anymore I will respect her a lot less. I kind of laughed it off at the time, but I'm pretty sure she was being serious. Her and her husband are both Church going folk and the husband is a cop, so I'm pretty sure I know where they lie on the political spectrum. Imo ifyou're willing to believe there's an invisible man in the sky that's going to solve all your problems, I guess all these conspiracy theories are easier to believe.

I was thinking “wtf are you doing giving them the mental space to be complete psychopaths” and then “the husband is a cop”… so yeah, maybe don’t show your hand to those chucklefucks. Slowly backing away is the safer choice.

[–] Monument@lemmy.sdf.org 24 points 1 month ago

Oh, come on. Completely unrealistic. He’d never admit anything about the minors.

Yes, but also liver and kidney. They attributed the bruising on his hands to frequent hand shaking or aspirin use. Aspirin use is pretty hard on the liver. If we could see his natural skin color, jaundice could narrow it down to liver failure.

[–] Raiderkev@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago (1 children)

How would you know if he had jaundice with all the orange paint and all?

Pedal edema is a sign of heart failure yes.

At his age with his lifestyle and diet? Dude has CHF fullstop. How advanced though is another matter.

Look, I know the world will be a better place without this clown, but this just isn't how health risk works. Most smokers don't get lung cancer. Most drinkers don't get liver disease. Most people who die young don't have any especially unhealthy habits. Life just isn't fair in this way and pretending it is denigrates a lot of good people who are suffering.

I hear JD Vance is shopping for new Oval Office couches.

Apparently those Arhaus Kiptons are sexy yet classy.

Team Hamberder for the point:

The exam found Trump, who is 79, has chronic venous insufficiency. The condition happens when an individual’s leg veins struggle to pump blood back to the heart, causing blood to pool, according to The Cleveland Clinic.

Leavitt said there was no evidence of deep vein thrombosis, which is a blood clot, or arterial disease, which can include blockages.

[–] drzoidberg@lemmy.world 24 points 1 month ago

So what we can gather from prior statements from Leavitt, there is plenty of evidence of deep vein thrombosis, with blockages.

[–] wise_pancake@lemmy.ca 20 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Is that why the stock market is up today?

The exam found Trump, 79, has chronic venous insufficiency.

As someone who has been treated for this, I can confidently say bullshit. His ankles are swollen like he got them beaten and broken with a crow bar for not paying his debts.

My professional medical diagnosis is he has demon legs with no knees.

Source: making it up but I’m right.

BS He has heart failure perhaps without decreased ejection fraction. He has obviously getting diuretic injections into his hand on a daily basis vs just taking a pill. But it is not common for anyone to have lower extremity edema without some kind of systemic issue. I assume he has already tried wearing compression socks. Another lie to add on top of all the others.

What do you mean venous insufficiency? Die fuhrer has the most sufficient veins anyone has ever seen! In fact, they operate at 150% more efficient than the healthiest athlete!
