Elon has it always right.
Name one thing he has been right about.
A place to post ridiculous posts from linkedIn.com
(Full transparency.. a mod for this sub happens to work there.. but that doesn't influence his moderation or laughter at a lot of posts.)

Trump being on the Epstein files?
Lol
He said Kerbal Space Program is a good game
He says a lot of shit about video games, but when it's time to put his keyboard where his mouth is he's shown time and time again to be phony.
Mostly because I don't think he actually understands what he is doing, the small amount of absorbed about what he does kinda reminds me of one of my great uncles who only has played Wasteland for the last 37 years and then played Wasteland 2 and 3 recently. Sure my uncle had fun but at least for the first half or so of wasteland 2 he clearly didn't fully understand what he was doing, he recently beat Metro and has clearly fully adapted though. Point is Musk seems like he doesn't have the required base skills to actually play a game well and hasn't put in the time to actually get gud.
He gets 718 things wrong and 2 things right
Also polytipia is more complex than chess 😐😑
To be fair, you need to have a very high IQ to understand Polytopia.
At least 60
Yeah but unfortunately the things he's known for isn't video game reviews and people still listen to him for some reason. I once he thought he was trying to do better things but he must have fired that PR company, they did him good like 15 years ago, least compared to his current public image.
That said Kerbal Space Program is awesome, I managed to orbit the planet a few times over the years never landed on another moon or planet, wait maybe once but he wasn't coming back. Hah I wonder how many Elon landed, without someone playing for him.

Guy telling on himself he literally cannot discern quality images/video from the utter bilge spat out by AI.
These people really need to go to a fucking gallery or something for the first time in their lives
I've been fooled more than I care to admit with deepfakes. Is there any indication it won't get more convincing. This use of AI is extremely damaging to work and minds.
It's also a confirmation bias. How much AI generated content out there is already indistinguishable from the real stuff?
Yes, the world we all wanted - let’s get rid of the whole just except for the party where you fix your coworker’s fuckups
This plane of existence truly is the hell of the one from which I was released
Removing programming and making everything into code reviews and debugging. We all know those are the two most fun parts of being a programmer
Those are unironically my favourite parts of programming
So software developers go from artisans to janitors, with the concomitant cut in prestige and pay
Can confirm. Now I finger-paint in fucking Ansible all day. It's like a retirement home for my brain because I use chatgpt to keep my brain and its memory of trauma out of Ansible work so it does nothing but sing SpongeBob all day.
"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
WHO DIES WRITING ANSIBLE AND NOT IN C
SPONGE BOB SQUARE PANTS!
.." etc
Also half of them will be fired because managers have to increase numbers while decreasing numbers.
When the guy can design a car that doesn't fail the Wiley Coyote test he might be able to talk about how things will be.
It's Wile E. Coyote.
I challenge anyone to init a repo, open claude code, and give it the best written prompt you can possibly write to produce an app, website, whatever from end to end and see how well that works out for you. ESPECIALLY an app that requires some sort of login. Try it.
And they should share a link here so that we all can... Invest.
I am hopeful his last sentence is correct. If we see an explosion of new software out there it creates new markets. Maybe the nature of development will change, and a lot of the rote stuff can be automated, but that frees us up for more interesting and creative tasks. Or at the very least, unfucking the vibe code.
more interesting and creative tasks
That's impossible because only new features are creative, and AI will take care of that (poorly). And without new code, AI will stagnate.
