And a traitor.

Do they think the Epstein files are in Venezuela?

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

I’m starting to think that the Epstein files are in Venezuela.

I hope so. We do not need another damned war.

[–] gravitas_deficiency@sh.itjust.works 7 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Honestly who knows at this point. He might legitimately think it’s a good idea to try it as a distraction from the Epstein stuff.

[–] slingstone@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

That's my fear. There's nothing this evil asshole won't do.

[–] NoneOfUrBusiness@fedia.io 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

*From the lack of democracy. This is way bigger than the Epstein files.

No, I mean what I said - I think there’s honestly a good chance he’s letting wish.com Goebbels (that is, Miller) have the leash and speed up that process also as a distraction. He is that much of a psychopathic narcissist. He would use literally anything he can think of to distract from critical negative attention to himself

"Police action", because even with the current climate, it might be hard to get Congress to declare an actual war.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (2 children)

If he doesn't it isn't worth the effort, we've had elections during actual wars we wouldn't skip them for police actions.

[–] Mirshe@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Ahh, but we've never really had such top-to-bottom corruption like this. A president who thinks himself a king, and everyone from congresspeople to governors to state secretaries to city officials who want him to stay that way. Sure, Bush might not have suspended elections, or Obama, but I can definitely see Trump trying.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

It's possible but that's an uphill battle considering we had elections after Pearl and during Vietnam and Korea.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Korea and Vietnam were nothing compared to WW2.

But Trump will lie, just like he's lied about the "crime wave" in DC. As long as his imbecile followers believe it, it's a good enough lie. And they'll believe just about any old bullshit.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago

I used them because they were police actions not declared wars which was what we were talking about.

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 3 points 3 weeks ago

If anything it's just a mask, like the ones his Gestapo goons are wearing as they practice on immigrants for what they'll be doing to anyone who tries to vote against Dollar-Store Hitler

[–] avidamoeba@lemmy.ca -3 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

Yes but.. if Venezuela takes the grenade, we (Canada) are in the clear for a few years! I bet that maple troll you're responding to has the same dirty thoughts.

[–] keyhoh@piefed.social 15 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

So, Trump is entering into a war in order to keep his grasp on power? He's learned from Netanyahu. Maybe the guy needs to removed, with force most likely, before this can happen.

[–] Cringedrif@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago

But...but...he's the president of peace....oh wait, wrong peace...he's just a piece of shit.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 3 weeks ago

He wants a war so bad, but he also wants a Nobel Peace Prize so bad. He's very confused.

[–] glowing_hans@sopuli.xyz -2 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

During a war having an election is difficult.

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 6 points 3 weeks ago

Bullshit. We had elections during both World Wars, the Vietnam War and the Civil War, as well as every war and "pretend we're not having a war" in our history.

Now, during a military dictatorship headed by a fascist pedophile narcissist who cheats at golf?

Guess we'll have to see...

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 3 points 3 weeks ago

That's Trump's framing, and it's contradicted by over 200 years of US history. Nothing has stopped elections.
