Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

He’s been doing this for a while. Probably a big age spot or something similar that he is self-conscious and vain about. There was a similar article pointing this same spot out about 2-3 months ago.

[–] SippyCup@feddit.nl 12 points 14 hours ago (2 children)

He might be getting regular IV injections and getting some bruising there as a result.

[–] ilinamorato@lemmy.world 2 points 8 hours ago

That's what I was assuming.

[–] sploder@lemmy.world 1 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

I had that thought too, but why not just tap in somewhere less visible?

[–] SippyCup@feddit.nl 2 points 6 hours ago

Other locations may be either too hard to access, too fragile from repeated injections, or too inconvenient for a whiney patient.

A friend of mine had to eventually have a port put in, because there wasn't anywhere left she could get an IV she'd had so many.

Trump could be anywhere on that list really. But if he's getting one every 6 weeks, they may be running out of suitable locations. They won't give him a port, that's just as likely to kill him.

[–] dickalan@lemmy.world 19 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

What the fuck in Reddit dip shit is this news story this is not news This is a fucking distraction.

[–] INHALE_VEGETABLES@aussie.zone 2 points 8 hours ago

Yeah I wonder what's on his left hand

[–] Mediocre_Bard@lemmy.world 49 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I hope it's cancer and I hope it kills him quick.

[–] INHALE_VEGETABLES@aussie.zone 2 points 8 hours ago

Not so fast there champ

[–] obviouspornalt@lemmynsfw.com 43 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I hope it disables him quickly and kills him slowly.

[–] Clasm@ttrpg.network 17 points 1 day ago (4 children)

I want something that causes locked-in syndrome and a long ventilator-assisted life.

Maybe then he'll realize that yes, everyone does, in fact, hate him. And even the cowards he surround himself with will do it straight to his face for once.

[–] fossilesque@mander.xyz 3 points 17 hours ago

Anyone seen Common Side Effects?

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 8 points 21 hours ago

They'll still roll him out on stage and the morons will still celebrate.

[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 1 points 15 hours ago

I think he might be aware of that. His recent comments about him not getting into heaven seem to indicate a much larger self awareness than I ever gave him credit for.

[–] whyNotSquirrel@sh.itjust.works 2 points 21 hours ago

and once they take all his money, he'll depend on medicare and suffer even more

[–] MangioneDontMiss@lemmy.ca 109 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I would bet he had an IV in his hand, and the IV caused bruising. He's slathered makeup on it like some fucking idiot.

[–] Gerudo@lemmy.zip 53 points 1 day ago (3 children)

He did this a few weeks ago, too. He absolutely is getting infusions of something on a regular basis. Could be hydration drips, could be anti-syphilis drugs. Who knows.

[–] Frozengyro@lemmy.world 49 points 1 day ago (2 children)

The blood of children, like they accused others of doing

[–] cmbabul@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The “every accusation is projection theorem” needs to be fully codified like Occam’s razor or Poes Law. Especially if we find out some of the craziest most off the wall qanon/blood libel shit is actually literally true it’s Trump, the GOP, billionaires, Putin, Netanyahu, Jerry Jones, etc that are all consuming human babies in order to stay young forever and doing the bidding of Peter Theil because he’s the one that figured it out and… wait, goddamn it! That’s the belief system of the Super Adventure Club in the South Park episodes mocking Scientology after Issac Hates left for the previous episodes mocking Scientology.

Epstein's Law: every accusation from a Conservative [of being guilty of a thing] is a confession [of being guilty of the thing]

[–] moobythegoldensock@infosec.pub 3 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Thanks, Ima start citing it now and hopefully it catches on.

[–] cmbabul@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago

I’m doing it to, it’s gonna be a thing!

[–] halcyoncmdr@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Oh there's definitely at least one blood boy being used in that White House.

My money is it being Baron. Have we seen the giant recently?

The White House says it’s from shaking so many hands.

[–] halcyoncmdr@lemmy.world 35 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (4 children)

Ah yes shaking hands with only the... Back... of the hand. And at the exact place an IV would be located on the back of the hand.

I’m no makeup artist but this seems like it wants to be seen and talked about. I feel they could have made it less obvious if they wanted.

[–] ghen@sh.itjust.works 16 points 1 day ago

As we see from his face, he only applies it to himself and he's not good at it. He won't let anyone else do the job

[–] PrincessLeiasCat@sh.itjust.works 37 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I’m a woman and years ago some makeup artist had recommended a foundation shade that was a bit too light but I didn’t notice.

So one day wearing it, I walked into Sephora and this guy working there looked at me in horror and went “Oh honey…your face is a different shade from the rest of your body…”

I saw it then and changed things up. But seeing the picture in the article that’s immediately what I thought back to… “Oh honey…”

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 1 points 7 hours ago

Was this in NYC by any chance?

[–] NABDad@lemmy.world 45 points 1 day ago
[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 68 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Soooo, the Epstein file "dump" is actually an interview with Maxwell, and she was given (bribed with) partial release from prison for it. I knew they were going to distract us with something, but them knowing that we want him to naturally die wasn't on my bingo card.

[–] miss_demeanour@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

They raided Bolton looking for the Epstein files!!!

I agree. He’s covering an IV bruise.

[–] LaunchesKayaks@lemmy.world 22 points 1 day ago (1 children)

But where them Epstein files at?

[–] GladiusB@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

It's under the makeup

[–] Redditsux@lemmy.world 46 points 1 day ago (2 children)

This story encapsulates the Trump administration - more concerned with appearances than substance.

[–] otacon239@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You’d think with those fuckloads of money he could afford an actual makeup artist. Then again, that would require paying someone to do their job.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago (2 children)

You don’t understand. He never lets them do his makeup (at least not in the first (and jesus bonghitting christ should have been last) term). It’s a thing of his. Like fearing stairs or being poisoned.

He looks even shittier than usual. It's impressive, in a gawky sort of way.
