Wait, now God is part of the War on Christmas?

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 41 points 11 months ago

"it was pagan anyway", - the pope, maybe.

[-] EmpathicVagrant@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago

This was obviously not god, that’s just preposterous. This was ManBearPig.

[-] reverendsteveii@lemm.ee 2 points 11 months ago

what if it was GodBearPig?

[-] Maeve@kbin.social 5 points 11 months ago

I said the old gods must die. Maybe a new one gets it.

If Christian mythology were real I'd imagine he would be. Christmas in America isn't a celebration of Christ, it's a celebration of consumerism and the Christian God got awfully angry about people focusing on material things rather than worshiping him in the Christian Bible.

[-] JJROKCZ@lemmy.world 10 points 11 months ago

I think the army Corp of engineers might be slightly busy with slightly more important things than a Christmas tree on a government lawn

[-] Chainweasel@lemmy.world 10 points 11 months ago

[-] Sabre363@sh.itjust.works 8 points 11 months ago

[-] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 3 points 11 months ago

If that's not a sign, I don't know what would considered a sign.

[-] afraid_of_zombies@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago
