To me, the ultimate dream car is this thing. Luxury to the max, budget out the window, customized to the last millimeter.
There are so many others that go in my dream collection, much simpler cars like the original Mini, 60's Camaro, an EV swapped Super Beetle, and a late 60's Corvette with a better engine, Caterham 7, Miata.... Yeah, there are a lot.
But the pinnacle is always the Rolls.
I like the starry night headliner
Yes! Such a great idea to make a normally boring part of the car special and pretty and customizable
Edit:
Actually the number 6 the one Jacky Ickx won the '69 LeMans in.
Never meet your heroes.
1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4. Replaced nearly every part, twice. While selling it the front aero stopped working again.
1961 Lincoln Continental. Every part is unique just enough to be difficult to fix or replace. Lots of oddities related to vacuum.
Photos aren’t mine but are nearly identical. My vr4 had the chrome wheels from a convertible.
I'm currently putting off replacing the clutch on my 91 Stealth. Otherwise she's doing fine so far honestly but I made the mistake of buying a house at the same time so picking which hole to throw money in is hard.
If it’s not a turbo you’re good. I think the vr4 had a lot more 90’s era electronics to fail too.
That white was good then and still looks good now.
I always loved the 3rd gen Eclipse until i got with my now wife who owned one at the time. The engine blew up at 120k miles and after replacing it, a bunch of other stuff broke to the point that it was sold for scrap value.
I also had a dsm eclipse (1g, fwd turbo), and holy shit that was the most annoying engine to work on. Fun as hell until they need work.
I’m a simple guy:
Good taste. Miata Is Always The Answer.
I drive an NA.
or
You know, the former is a bit expensive to buy
I prefer to just rent a seat when I need it.
I'd love to have a half sized bus, graffiti it out, call it the party bus and just drive people around in it for an hour or so for free. Bet the cops would execute me for that though.
It would be blasting reggae, I'd replace the seats with lazy boys (if I could find a way to make them safe.) And have privacy curtains. It would be the coolest thing for like a week a before impound.
Lancia 037, preferably with the Martini livery. I am a man doomed to dream, for this will never happen.
The Stratos that its based on is terrible to drive from what I've heard. The pedals are in such a tight spot that you apparently have to sit a little sideways to drive. Probably a blast though. I'd take a Ford RS 200 too, that era of rally is wild.
Starrion widebody turbo is my absolute bucket-list car, though a Grand National wouldn’t go amiss, and another Ford Sierra XR4x4 would make me happy
Good taste.
I had a '72 Charger back in the day, fantastic car but I always secretly wished it was a Roadrunner or GTX.
They were superior to drive than the earlier B bodies that usually get the spotlight IMO, thanks to sway bars from the factory and the amazing aerodynamics.
Mazda RX-7 FD3S Spirit R Type A
Lotus Exige S 260 Final Edition
Noble M500
Neighbour across the street had one of these on blocks when I was growing up, it's forever seared into my brain as the most beautiful car ever made (sorry Jaguar). I know the engine is garbage but in my dreams I've swapped in a 400-500 hp EV drivetrain
For me it's the Nissan March Super Turbo. I'm a hot hatch fan, and this little car has no business having a turbo or being super charged, yet it has both.
Just to mention a few
1987 Toyota Tercel SR5 Wagon 4x4. 5-speed
I will never forgive Breaking Bad for making this car cost as much as a goddamn Corvette.
Karmann Ghia, electric conversion.
Two cars I really wanted at various stages in my life...
1978-9 Trans Am 1993-5 Mazda RX-7
This one, however, did not get away :)
One day…
For the track or just being a speed junkie in general:
For daily driving:
I'm a simple man. 67 Shelby Cobra in iconic metallic blue with white stripe.
I've been lucky to own several of my affordable bucket list cars. Cobalt SS, 07 Mazdaspeed 3, 87 RX7, last year Hyundai Genesis 3.8. One of the few left is a 93 Mustang GT fox body.
