LGBTQ people have a stereotype of better taste in couches. He’s just jealous

[–] tymon@lemmy.zip 14 points 1 day ago

I really hate that man.

[–] grrgyle@slrpnk.net 5 points 1 day ago

I wish jd Vance would suggest shutting his mouth and spending the next 3 years in quiet contemplation over how he got here

Anyone not MAGA poses an existential threat to MAGA. Simple as.

[–] MML@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 day ago

Hell sometimes they even hurt themselves in confusion.

Says the couch fucking Nazi wearing eyeliner.

[–] Ladislawgrowlo@lemy.lol 9 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Eyeliner is not a reason for discrimination.

[–] Zink@programming.dev 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Absolutely true. So when I see one of the male (obviously) executives of the "Let's murder boys wearing eye liner and other undesirables too" looking like one of their own victims, it's a pretty natural tendency to try to use their hypocrisy against them.

Think of it like a small fork of the larger issue of hypocritical gay republicans choosing the path of evil and actively hurting the decent LGBT people of the world.

If a straight-presenting male coworker introduced me to their secret boyfriend I'd give them a fist bump and say "yeah get it bro" or whatever it is that awkward old straight people say to their newly out friends.

If my straight-presenting Vice President introduced me to his secret boyfriend that helps him with his makeup, I'd give him the middle finger and say "fuck off demon" or something like that.

Hopefully the distinction is clear!

[–] 4am@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The distinction is clear if you mean this current, demon, gay-hunting couch fucker, who somehow we were all stupid enough to invite across the white house threshold, and not normal, functioning vice presidents.

Vice presidents can have boyfriends if they’ve been good; the little insane ones who cling to the antiquated ideas of capital efficiency through rigid unecessary structure under penalty of death deserve neither capital or love.

First Latinos, now trans people. Wonder what group of people are next.

[–] Evil_Incarnate@sopuli.xyz 23 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Autistics. "Drain on the system" "they don't think like you or me" "brain is damaged from vaccines, more humane to put them down"

i hope I'm wrong.

[–] grrgyle@slrpnk.net 6 points 1 day ago

"those deranged by thoughts of empathy"

[–] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 15 points 1 day ago

I am autistic. In response to the announcement of RFK's "Wellness Farms", I got into learning how to use a shotgun. Hopefully there will be a Rainbow Panther militia that wouldn't mind having me.

If I am to be put down, I would prefer it to be on a battlefield, than a plantation.

[–] DeathByBigSad@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 day ago

I have depression, my own mother says I'm a burden on society, says shit like "if you aren't contributing, you don't deserve to est" (aka: the "useless eater" nazi terminology), as I try to keep her (small) bussiness afloat so our family can survive. Conservatives have zero empathy.

And they read news about a suspect getting shot and celebrate "good, skip the trial and save resources", they think that the US not having death penalty is "being soft". They think people with autism, are somehow "dangerous"...

The only way we fix this is hope the older generation die quicker (no offense to the elderly people who are left-of-center, but I've seen too many raging bigoted conservative old people).

I'm nervous it'll be furries or something tangent to them

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago

Autistic people next week. If we're lucky, we get an AI generated pamphlet about the wonders of celibacy, to avoid making more of us. If we're not, the US will either ban vaccines altogether, or send us to camps.

[–] Octavio@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Why don’t they target every domestic terror threat, no matter what gender?

[–] Birch@sh.itjust.works 17 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Because then they'd have to go after themselves

[–] LavaPlanet@sh.itjust.works 18 points 2 days ago

They'll try and pin any excuse, on furthering their agenda, even if it has zero data or evidence to support it. Just because you're terrified of things you don't understand, Mr distraction, doesn't mean those things are terrorists. It's just you.

The Stonewall riot proved that the Queer Community were not violent - until pushed too far. I have seen little to no violent activity from that marginalized group in the news (and truly they would make sure people knew so long as it wasn't a white straight male), making this false attack to rile up hatred. But people will only remain defensive for so long. It will end up finally giving these conservative groups what they want - actual violence, and a reason to push harder. It worked well for Israel, so why not do a pogrom here, too?

[–] jaggedrobotpubes@lemmy.world 15 points 2 days ago

I mean that's definitely not true and he knows it. He is saying he wants others to murder people for him in cold blood.

At the very least let him do it himself. A leader who so loudly values strength would surely be capable of it.

[–] HazardousBanjo@lemmy.world 161 points 3 days ago (131 children)

Are all ya dumb fucks who refused to vote for Kamala happy?

Ya happy all your trans friends are about to be sent to concentration camps so you could virtue signal your pathetic hollow support for Palestine (that's actively doing far worse under Trump than under Biden BTW)?

Hope all the death and destruction partially on your hands was worth you feeling like a special little hero for a few hours last November.

No shit.

Hey assholes - this is what the "worse of two evils" looks like! Remember it for the next time, if you get a chance again.

Surely now democrats will stand up for trans people.

[–] SkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.de 19 points 2 days ago

You need a spine to stand

[–] WoodScientist@lemmy.world 14 points 2 days ago

Kamala will keep saying "I'll follow the law" on trans people, as she enforces the law sending us all to camps.

[–] handsoffmydata@lemmy.zip 14 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Best they’ll do is offer to paint a 🌈 on the side of a UAV.

Well if you start treating them like terrorists, some might choose that path. It is a very possible self-fulfilling prophecy. Especially when you threaten their lives like that.

[–] parlaptie@feddit.org 41 points 2 days ago (2 children)

That's most likely the intention behind this. The right would be elated about news of actual trans terrorists.

[–] OneWomanCreamTeam@sh.itjust.works 25 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, it's a pretty classic move. Persecute a group of people until inevitably some of them fight back, then point at that to show "see, they're violent, so we have to crush them out of existence with as much cruelty as possible!"

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

[–] TipRing@lemmy.world 103 points 3 days ago (8 children)

They actually went after trans people first last time as well.

Full quote:

In a clip from the interview posted to X by journalist Ken Klippenstein, Watters asked the vice president whether he considers “the militant transgender movement” to be a “domestic terrorist threat.”
“If you are encouraging people to commit acts of violence against the United States government or against your fellow Americans, absolutely. You’re involved in a terrorist movement,” Vance responded.

Not that I don't think violence against trans people is absolutely his intention, thankfully, he didn't manage to vocalize that specifically to his base, nor is he capable of doing it himself - he's still very scared of getting sued for hate speech or libel, or for anything hate-related to happen under his direct watch. The quote was basically "If you're a terrorist, you're a terrorist!" with numerous wording twists to hope bigots would take further implication.

My point being, keep fighting them for being transphobic, but please don't reach the level of fear at which you become afraid of daily life.

[–] BanMe@lemmy.world 21 points 2 days ago

Ken Klippenstein is citing two inside sources who claim Trump is about to designate trans people as "violent extremists," and that the FBI will target them, and that is a bit scarier. I think the queer community actually needs to be highly alert and paying attention in the coming days, unfortunately.

Oh yes men in dresses makeup and heels are deadlier than assassins. What are they going to do? Gag you to death with their caustic wit? Read you to filth? Do a death drop right in front of you? Kill you with kindness and vegan makeup. You'll be blinded to death by bold color eye shadow. Take a deadly shit in a women's restroom, fuch some hunk so hard your eyes will bleed?

This is truly the party of fools. Maybe the aliens are coming to eradicate earth of all this suffering at the hands of idiots.

Gee, I wonder why they are turning to more extremism?

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-polling-negative-republicans-economy-b2830124.html

I'm not saying this isn't reason for alarm and action, but this seems very desperate.

I can’t really even detransition. I’ve lived my entire adult life as a man.

I’m so terrified. What does this look like? Jail, inpatient institutionalization? Will they take away my testosterone?

My brain is on fire. I don’t know where to reach out for help.
