How are any of then surprised? Trump is the most easily bribeable man to ever be president.

[–] ieGod@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

I'm surprised you're confused about their surprise. When do they think critically about anything? They are racist and hateful. When (not if) things finally come around to hurt them they will cry foul. They deserve all their suffering.

[–] dick_fineman@discuss.online 6 points 2 days ago

Well most of them have brain damage, and still think he gives a fuck about anything other than being a soft richie-bitch. It'd be funny if it weren't so sad. No, I was wrong, it's still fucking hilarious.

[–] MisterOwl@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Probably pretty fuckin easy to blackmail too.

Given how many kids he has fucked his entire life and lifelong friendship with Epstein (who himself was a known pervert even back in his high school days), and his business failures and need for money that often came from the Mafia or foreign sources such as Russia, the fucker doesn't have skeletons in the closet. He has more skeletons around his home and yard than a skeleton-obsessed Halloween decorator.

I just love, that even in this, they seem to find a way to still, blame Obama and Biden for it.

This is what happens when you gut national-security training, scrub every mention of Islam, jihad, and Sharia from the manuals, and let Obama- and Biden-era bureaucrats turn counterterrorism into cultural sensitivity class. We’re being led by officials who no longer recognize or refuse to name the enemy they’re inviting into our own backyard.

The cope is strong with that one.

[–] pinheadednightmare@lemmy.world 234 points 3 days ago (12 children)

Can you imagine how the right would react if this was done by a dem president? They may have actually started a civil war over it.

[–] Clent@lemmy.dbzer0.com 75 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The article has a quote that literally blames this on Biden and Obama.

[–] 13igTyme@piefed.social 66 points 3 days ago (2 children)

God damn people are fucking stupid.

"Twenty-four years after foreign nationals trained in our flight schools flew planes into our buildings, our leaders are inviting their financiers to train inside our bases. This is what happens when you gut national-security training, scrub every mention of Islam, jihad, and Sharia from the manuals, and let Obama- and Biden-era bureaucrats turn counterterrorism into cultural sensitivity class. We’re being led by officials who no longer recognize or refuse to name the enemy they’re inviting into our own backyard."

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 33 points 3 days ago (5 children)

Oh "name the enemy" is a terrifying dogwhistle

Wasn’t there a conspiracy theory about Obama or something opening foreign military base on US soil?

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 51 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Jade Helm, back in '14/'15 was a massive military training exercise across the Southwest. We'd been saber rattling across North Africa and the Middle East for ages, so this was larger than normal but not inconsistent with US foreign policy. Just another day in the paradise of the imperial core.

But Republican influencers and spokesdorks jumped on it as an actual invasion of the territory being practiced over. Then several of the state governors chimed in, demanding that Obama halt his occupation of their states. We had a big rash of "Should Texas be allowed to secede?!" discourse. Obama issued an apology or some dumb shit. Republicans declared victory. Yadda yadda.

[–] aramis87@fedia.io 28 points 3 days ago (5 children)

"Should Texas be allowed to secede?!"

Yes. Please go. Soon.

I remember what happened the last time US trained middle eastern pilots in the late 90s / very early 2000s

[–] D_C@sh.itjust.works 16 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Wow, was it something spectacular, eye opening, and thought provoking?

[–] boaratio@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago

It was a cash cow for the defense industry.

Just checked r/Conservative and they seem completely unfazed. They literally do not care.

[–] GEESELICHIC@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

The racist pedo apologists haven’t figured out how to spin this yet.

[–] BanMe@lemmy.world 29 points 2 days ago

Any time I see one of these "MAGA revolts" stories, AND/OR an article from rawstory.com, I know I can ignore it.

[–] Seleni@lemmy.world 19 points 2 days ago

Yup. These stories are just copium articles for the left so we keep letting this shithead do whatever he wants.

[–] Scotty_Trees@lemmy.world 16 points 2 days ago (1 children)

For what legitimate purpose could Qatar have to put a military facility on Idaho? And Trump and Hegseth have absolutely no legitimate reason to allow it. Clearly payback for the bribery of the Plane and future bribes.

[–] olympicyes@lemmy.world 21 points 3 days ago (3 children)

More importantly, they probably bought unknown quantities of his $TRUMP crypto.

Really, never? Seems like he fucks over his people at least once a week.

This is what happens when you gut national-security training, scrub every mention of Islam, jihad, and Sharia from the manuals, and let Obama- and Biden-era bureaucrats turn counterterrorism into cultural sensitivity class.

Christ on sale, these people are stupid. The GOP-led Congress could pass a law called the Fuck Our MAGA Simps In Particular Act, signed by Trump, and they'd still blame Obama.

Well at least now we know the price of opening an airbase in the US for non-NATO countries

Qatar base? In Idaho?

Ok, now you're fucking with me. I don't believe any of you that this is real.

[–] Samskara@sh.itjust.works 34 points 3 days ago (1 children)

It’s a Qatari Air Force base for Training.

[–] But_my_mom_says_im_cool@lemmy.world 24 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Wouldn’t that be the first and only foreign base in us soil? Trump really bent over and lubed up

Well Qatar literally threatened to sell all of their treasury bonds.

which would have resulted in a permanent 38% drop in the dollar in 24 hours

[–] Xaphanos@lemmy.world 61 points 3 days ago (3 children)

Now everyone knows how weak we are and exactly how to get whatever they want from us.

[–] evenglow@lemmy.world 31 points 3 days ago

Go look up how long it took Trump to call Xi after China hit the off button for rare earth metals.

That's ridiculous. Qatar holds like a billion or two in US Treasuries, which isn't even a minute's worth of trading volume. Japan, China, UK, all closer to a trillion, would be a serious threat. Even UAE at $100B. But Qatar?

No, if anything this is payback for the nice airplane Qatar gave to "Trump Library."

[–] Karyoplasma@discuss.tchncs.de 45 points 3 days ago

Tinfoil hat: the threat was just a ruse to provide plausible deniability. The actual reason they are allowed to establish an air base on US soil is because they gave Trump a $400M airplane.

Close ally to President Trump, Laura Loomer, lamented the news after advocating that the administration declare the Muslim Brotherhood an international terrorist organization.

"Well, I guess this isn’t going to happen since we just gave the Muslim Brotherhood an air base in Idaho. So much for my decade worth of hard work trying to protect Americans from the threat of Islamic terror," said Loomer about the new base.

Lololol

"No foreign country should have a military base on U.S. soil," she also said. "Especially Islamic countries. I have never felt more betrayed by the GOP than I do now watching Islamic jihadists get away with implementing Sharia law in the US and now they are getting their own airbase where they will train to kill Americans."

And yet as outraged as they are, MAGA still finds a way to say this is the Democrats' fault:

This is what happens when you gut national-security training, scrub every mention of Islam, jihad, and Sharia from the manuals, and let Obama- and Biden-era bureaucrats turn counterterrorism into cultural sensitivity class. We’re being led by officials who no longer recognize or refuse to name the enemy they’re inviting into our own backyard.'

🙄

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 28 points 3 days ago (3 children)

Also, in totally unrelated news, Trump's personal wealth jumped by another half billion dollars thanks to his personal cryptocurrency suddenly going up in value.

still they somehow blame "Obama- and Biden-era bureaucrats" for it
