Reading the comments here, they Uno Reversed themselves, blocking official frontend users (official yt app, website, etc.) and allowing unofficial ones (Pipepipe, NewPipe, and some others). Lol. Nice job, guys.
LOL no wonder why I haven't been having any issues.
These are the guys in charge. Pennywise pound foolish.
Pennywise, you say?
I gotta tell you I've got music streaming like 14 hours a day and I didn't notice an outage while using Waterfox and uBlock Origin.
Good.
NewPipe. No issues at all.
Edit: autocorrect
I didn't notice. YouTube hasn't worked for like a year.
they updated the fucking UI and broke some shit probably
And in typical fashion, the UI update is fucking awful
This whole new version of material is god awful. Makes all my apps look like they're for preschoolers. Marketing and design had to justify themselves again
It does look like a giant tablet, like "kids will use this anyways"
The transport controls are gigantic now, take up a good chunk of screen real estate whenever u wanna just skim
But the ads were working.
I bet the outage was some new antiadblock nefariousness they're trying to implement.
Yeah I think that was the most frustrating part of it being down. The false promise of an ad...
I thought they finally broke my modded YouTube app.
I thought my IP had been blocked for using Freetube.
I had to turn off spoof video streams in miscellaneous, worked right away after that. 20.14.43
Cheers that worked.
Same here. One of my favorite car content creators started a livestream pretty much right when the outage started. Lots of people in live chat were having issues and couldn't see anything. The UI kept erroring out saying "player outdated".
Pipepipe users did not even notice
It's been acting up a lot over the last day or so. I thought it was my ad block or something.
Same, but I tried turning it off to test and there was no change.
did you risk watching an ad? brave
I did it for all of us.
is the brave adblocker that good tho?
Wasn't sure if it was my pihole jacking something up
ublock origin here, turns out it was an outage.
i saw a post on reddit too, they were reporting its youtubes side. maybe YT is trying something to mess with the ads again, or against adblocker.
YouTube has been absolute dogshit on my Apple TV box, which ironically is the only place Iβm not blocking ads. So ads aside I should be getting the best experienceβ¦ but no. So most of the time I AirPlay my MacBook to my TV and just use Firefox. I mean outside the outage.

It doesnβt outright block ads but it shuts βem up and skips ASAP.
Just sideload smart tube
I tough it was me
Good news, it isn't just you.
I watched the yify rip of boondock saints directors cut. it's back.
