Stan Qualen by The Southern River Band. I love their brand of rock

[-] Carter@feddit.uk 4 points 10 months ago

For some reason I'm particularly keen on Sophie Ellis-Bextor's Murder on the Dancefloor at the moment. No idea why but it did just turn 20 years old.

[-] hitmyspot@aussie.zone 3 points 10 months ago

Do you mean muhdah on the donce floor? I love that too. She does some great Covid streams with her kids discoing in their home.

A donde, by Cetu Javu.

A pretty catchy 80's synth-pop song, in Spanish, by a German band.

[-] Bitrot@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

Entire album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess by Chappell Roan. I don't like every song, but most. It's a lot of fun.

Also the song Grown Up by Raffaella makes me laugh.

[-] theodewere@kbin.social 2 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

i've been getting back into Big Band Swing in general, but Andy Kirk and the Twelve Clouds was a special group, and one of their pianists Mary Lou Williams was a true pioneer of jazz solo improvisation.. still mind blowing to hear..

Walkin' and Swingin' is a good one..

Close to Five is just badass

[-] DosDude@retrolemmy.com 2 points 10 months ago

Powerful, beautiful and brilliantly sung. I love it.

[-] GarytheSnail@programming.dev 2 points 10 months ago

Hot Mulligan - John "The Rock" Cena, Can You Smell What The Undertaker
