Former President Trump on Tuesday claimed Democrats “hate Israel” and that Jewish voters who back Democrats hate their religion amid tensions between the Biden administration and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Trump, speaking with conservative radio host Sebastian Gorka, was asked why Democrats like Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) “hate” Netanyahu, a reference to Schumer’s recent call for new elections in Israel.

“I actually think they hate Israel,” Trump responded. “And the Democrat Party hates Israel.”

/Bibi stands up and gets in line..../

Bibi is a member of LIKUD, why would he need to get in line when he's already in the building?

A Democrat President is, right now, sending billions of dollars to Israel and shipping them weapons every 36 hours. Biden has even bypassed Congress multiple times (not that Congress is likely to have shot down the deal) just to make sure the Israelis are armed at the fastest pace possible. Yet another example of Trump inventing outrage for his base of worshippers who couldn't care less about truth.

Listen: treat every statement that Drump makes as an outrageous lie until proven otherwise. I've been doing that now for nearly eight years, haven't been wrong once.

Trump is talking to his base, not Jews. The effect of this will rile them up.

And yet people are considering withholding votes for, or voting against Biden. As a Jew who believes in Israel’s right to exist, I guess I now hate Israel and my Judaism. It’s okay. Self loathing is something most stereotypes declare we’re comfortable with at this point.

this is the complicated reality actual morality forces upon human life. Love and patriotism should include criticizing the bad choices, lest they devolve into jingoism and cults.
