I'm not generally the type for this kind of meaningless comment, but it is just so perfectly apropos, I present the following statement:

womp womp

77% of national flags contain red.

...Which is a bit disturbing because it is generally used to refer to bloodshed or might in battle - partially in a "let's honor the past" sort of way, but mostly in a "don't fuck with us" sort of way.

Huh, interesting. I guess this makes sense - to not take up a massive volume, breathing oxygen would need to be stored in liquid form, which means it would need to be kept exceptionally cold or under huge pressures (or both), and would inevitably boil off and need regular servicing. A chemical reaction seems to be a far lower maintenance (and thus likely much cheaper) option for devices that will hopefully never even need to be used during the service life of an aircraft.

Traditionally, the incumbent has a huge advantage. I don't believe that the party of any sitting president that was primaried ever won the election. There are only a few cases of a sitting president that was eligible for another term stepping aside, and those were a very long time ago.

There was very little precedent for what Biden did, and I think very few could have predicted the enthusiasm for Harris - I remember her last campaign. It wasn't inspiring.

I think Biden felt like the safest choice to many, though obviously that's been proven incorrect. Hopefully the Democratic party will take a lesson from this and be more willing to replace an incumbent in the future if there's a better option.

All conservatives seem to be anymore is 3rd grade schoolyard bullies. I guess they're just as weak and insecure. Such a shame that such a huge chuck of the population will never reach self actualization. What a pitiful existence - kinda makes me sad for them.

Non-Newtonian fluid would be fun, but the Jesus run would get banned after the first season.

He can't, as this is an ideological split between the parties and would need to go through the house as well, where it would fail. Bringing this up now helps inform voters of an issue that could be resolved if Democrats turn out and take control of the house while retaining control of the Senate and executive branch.

I see Vance more as the guy that's chair of the HOA board, and drives around the neighborhood six times a day looking for any minor infraction to write up, but only for the residents he has beef with - looking the other way when one of his "friends" is in violation of the CC&Rs. So he's the guy that puts a lien on your house while you're in the hospital.

"This warning isn't just for uBlock Origin users. All extensions built on MV2 will display this warning on the Chrome extensions page if users have updated to Chrome version 127. Users of Chrome's Beta, Dev, and Canary channels have been seeing these warnings since June 3, 2024.

Although users can temporarily re-enable their MV2 extensions, Google plans to disable these extensions gradually over the next few months. Eventually, users won't be able to use MV2 extensions at all and will have to switch to MV3 alternatives suggested by the Chrome Web Store."

There's no karma to be had here, this is the end game. The Republicans have been working to dismantle the government for decades. Every piece that can be sold off to private enterprise will, regulation will be gutted, and consequences be damned.

The fall of the US is now inevitable. There is no future for anyone here that isn't already rich. Leave if you can.
